Whitey- that shot is "country" sweet. What year was that?
invisibleman1

whitey
That was from the Christmas Classic in Ohio '98.
Gotta give Keith Mulligan the props for that cool shot....

Spicoli
I'm a part time "gourmet Chef" @ Nick Tahous lol , I'd like to send you guys some hot sauce, but I'm not sure how well it would keep in the mail...

the White Lady pic is creepy, I never seen her, but I was usually so drunk & baked when I was @ the castle, I probably wouldnt remember anyway.

c-mon the Roc anit so bad...we used to have a Ferry, and Grady from Sanford & Son was the mayor for a long time...and let us not forget our beautiful & exotic beaches.

Whitey...that shot is cooler than any trophy,
or title, don't you think? Or did you have lots of 'em?
whitey
That website is cool. I usually get back enough times during the year to stock up on my cravings. I brought some Country Sweet sauce to the bar above the hockey rink and this dude Chris almost has the recipe down. Almost like home.

Spicoli-Is there anyway you can send me a garbage plate?? ha ha ha.........I do miss the Roc: the Amerks, Red wings, summer festivals, Wegmans, no traffic, golf courses...........

Picking up for the second jump at Cool-Tool was actually my brothers brilliant idea. We were at wednesday night practice and Dan says "I wonder if we could pick up for that second jump". So of course we all try it and for the record he was the first to do it going full speed. DJ & I perfected it but he was the first........

Dan showing the rest of us the fast line around Cool-Tool:

Hey Dennis-Massachusetts indoor on that playdoh track. Superclass main: Brian Gagnon, you and me.

Foot out and trying to fit my Reynolds Racing/2B, Echo helmets, Airwalk, Fox Racing, Play clothing ride into a small hole.......

This was the 1987 17 & Over expert main at the New York State Championships in Binghampton, NY. This main is stacked, alot of fast guys on this gate, from the outside Dennis Neubauer, Bobby Iovinella, ??, Whitey, ??, Anthony ??, Billy Reilley, ??. I think Iovinella won.........

whitey
Tim-That picture is definately cool. But this is my all time favorite picture for many reasons. 1992 Pro cruiser main at Bethel Supercross in CT. Bobby Iovinella leading and me chasing him down:

The "Terrible 2"

I was lucky enough to know Bobby for 14 years. He was one of the best people you will ever meet. He was tough as nails and fearless. He was a great friend. Our whole time racing against each other pretty much looked like this. We were never far from each other on the track and the battles we had were classic.
I'll never forget him launching off the jumps supercross style at the Nashville, TN World Cup.

RIP

Great shots, Whitey!
I missed a lot after I left NY.
I only got to race Bobby once before I took off. He had just turned 18.
I remember that old blue '68 or so Ford Galaxie conv he used to cruise around in!

Inviso, I'd love to see that vid, too.

I bet Ocean would look awesome on a Crupi!

Andrew-Johnny is right, good looking son bro (how did that happen?? ha ha ha ah ah). I am hoping he sees you ride and just goes crazy, good luck. He already looks like he has style for dayz. Gotta see if I can find an old "Pines Crew" jersey for him.
It's pretty funny how we all wear helmets now but not bitd.
Anyway, here is another DY pic for you. Booming the 30' Hannahs at the "Pines" with a little flavor (man I miss that place.........)

Check out my right knee, no blood. This was taken pre-digger..........

Ok,im on a pink GT...i dont remember this bike...its my plate tho...weird...can-am 1986?..billy au in my main...donny heir in yours.
whitey
I remember that bike. It was more of a salmon color...ha ha ha. Billy Au and Doni Heir were some cool cats & fast. I raced Billy for many years after that, he liked to cheat and pass people down the last straight (according to Barry McManus it was cheating). Remember Jason Smith & Jason Hill?? I might have some photos somewhere.......
invisibleman1
scan them all dude bro bra
im on the hunt as we speak.
did Billy take over dk? or build tracks or something?
its amazing how when we met them, they made like 1 stem...and maybe a seat post clamp...look at that company now.(i even have a 24 complete)
which reminds me,i have a cyclecraft 24 if you ever wanna rebuild yours.....we can always trade for a natty.
muuuahahhaa know you have like 15.

[ January 31, 2007, 10:31 PM: Message edited by: invisibleman1 ]
whitey
Nah.....Billy was/is building tracks for the NBL. Yeah it was a pretty small company at that time. Then DK just blew up big time. They had some fast dudes bitd.

I actually have THE cyclecraft two-four, its famous. Ask DJ about my cyclecraft, its LENGENDARY!!

I had 2 natty's but blew 'em up. I remember switching from the painted one to the chrome one at least once a week..........

Did you heat up Lane 8 yet & get in some hot laps?? The trick is to be in lane 5 by the bottom of the hill...........

[ January 31, 2007, 11:42 PM: Message edited by: whitey ]
invisibleman1
hot laps tomorrow...i'm gonna win to the first turn....i finally got the schnaps at bellflower...damn aba cadence...dont remind me all gates drop different...haha.
its dark so pics might no be happenin...well see.
monday thrus and saturday...
i have some tennis elbow now..its new to me so well see how tomorrow goes..i got one of those corny straps,...full details at 11.
dave james, feel free to chime in.
i remember billy robbins being in lane 8,and he'd be in 1 before the first jump....wrists down too.
Cool-Tool Nat.#1
Last I knew Billy was still involved quite heavily with DK....
Mike'Ultimate Sin of Bmx'Crehan
Love that track man!!!!
invisibleman1
dug these out of a box today...
invisibleman1
ok,
ocean blew me off to play wii with his cousins...he had a long day at preschool and a hour and half of after preschool tutoring(i book him HARDCORE)

ok,i rolled out the gate, and it felt good..so next lap i went for it,...by the first turn the elbow was heated...then Javier and the rest of the aa pro's showed up,and i wont lie,it was mad intimidating..so i shot gates with them for a hour,(i wasnt doing half bad) a few manuals, and quit while i was ahead..my arm hurts right now..and i had it wrapped..with that small band clip thing..this is suuuuuuch a buzzkill
anyone else ever have this tennis elbow crap? ice/wrap/ice/wrap yeahyeah....is this gonna go away!?!?!?!?!!
whitey
I am not going to ask how you got tennis elbow, but seriously dude Tennis elbow? What are we talking about? Tennis elbow? (I can just see AI talking about this on sportscenter.) It goes away after a little while, I had it from playing hockey.

Sounds like you represented pretty well. Don't worry about being intimidated just snap and throw the horsies down. Worse thing that could happen is you taking a digger and embarrassing yourself...hahaha.

Too bad about Ocean. Its pretty funny how kids have more stuff to do than adults. Anyway, he will come around all it takes is one time to the track to see you ride and hopefully he is hooked.

And yes ABA gates are the worst to time..........
invisibleman1
hahahaha tennis elbow.
i ate 5#!t in the trails one day...didnt really feel like i screwed it up,but i did..bah.
those dudes are so fast...manualling from berm to berm...pssh.

i'm like we all were before,'lane 8 every gate'..which reminds me they are tearing out the gate at bellflower today..making it flush with the hill.
ocean likes the bmx,he watches transit race videos with me,and always points out he's the guy in first hahaha

if the elbow throbbing goes away,i'm on that gate monday.
then home for the country sweet...imagine if they made a garbage plate...
invisibleman1
all day.
whitey
Wow.........real nice collection. Can I have the Slayer sticker?? Or maybe one of those unbuilt JMC's??
whitey
Came across this picture today. Christmas national 1991 (I think). Aboard my trusty TNT cruiser. Yeah right, its actually my infamous Cyclecraft...

Ooohhhh yyyeeeaaahhhh!!............DJ sportin' the "Sweet Shirts" factory ride. Doni Hier leading the parade at Waterford Oaks (I think that is Nuccio in second).

DJ smoothing the camel back looking to deliver the big elbow in turn 3. HIT HIM!!!!!

(nice pic)
D James
Yeah.. I beat Doni to the first turn in the first moto.
He hit me so hard my plate came off. I had to go back and pick it up after getting second to him.
That dude was way fast!!!!!!!
Andy Lee what's up with my co-sponsorship??
invisibleman1

whitey
Niiiiiicccceee!!! Get a picture of a big fat ice/snow powerslide.

Somewhere I have pics/video of a bunch of us doing these 60' powerslides on ice after the ABA Grands. It was too funny!!

Chris C.
I raced the nationals at cool tool a couple times and remember the free style show that is pictured earlier in this thread.

I remember that being quite a drive up there from central OH.
invisibleman1
thats it?
c'mon you dirtbags,start posting.
i hear mike stevens is coming in here....
whitey
C-mon. Anybody else got some good pics??

A few pages back the invisible one posted the article on Ken Aman in Super BMX. When that came out I thought that was the greatest thing ever. Ken was a HUGE inspiration to me and I am sure others. It gave me hope that someone I knew and rode with made it to the big time.

As far as I am concerned Ken didn't get enough recognition from the mags. I know the West vs. East argument, ABA vs. NBL, etc. He raced with the best of them and kicked butt! One of my favorite pictures was from the NBL Grands when he got National #1, finger on the brake lever trying to hold the horses down.

Way too cool!!
whitey
Hold on brother.........

invisibleman1
duuuuuuuude.
i remember this pic...i remember him and rupe hanging around us someplace, you,me,dj at HIGH RIDER south park i think.....and i was younger than you guys, and i was super star struck...i think i said 'daaahhhhhhh i like proclass wheels too daaahhbbbbbbb'..but man...even my dad was up on dude...Ken,you inspired tons of us man....are u riding or anything?

just so you guys know tees are being printed shortly...i cant send dj nuthing unless i send whitey too..i know the drill...ahahaha
