Did the fairgrouds race change to NBL in 1987? I remember racing it and crashing (sliding) out of turn 3 while in the lead of my 14 or 15 x moto?

Spokes-n-Wheels has been closed for years, but the bikes are still up on the roof...I hear they will soon be tearing down the whole plaza, I'll try to take a pic and post it before they do it.

I talk to Guy Andrews every few weeks and I go back to ROC about 2 or 3 times per year. Right now I live in WI and still race. We have Rockford IL about 1 hr from here and the me track in MKE, WI about 1 hr away. any way who are you bmx924. I know S-n-W closed about 10 years ago if I am correct. I work at all of the locations when there were open 89-94 then moved on to Park Ave Bike shop after that 94-96

I think stanzbmx is right, the last race at the Syracuse Fairgrounds was NBL race or EBA/NBL shared race. I remember alot of NBL guys there.

Mark-I think that picture from the fairgrounds above might be me #22. I don't know why I have that number but it definately looks like my setup & bike. Hmmm.

The Fairgrounds and Convention Center races were always such big events and were run really well. The Syracuse race gave out helmets one year for first place......too cool!

Those races were run really well. Except for maybe the one in the War Memorial they had the problem with the floor. I remember being happy with the prizes Waynes had, they were better than trophies. I was also happy because I made mains in open and 17X.

I remember when the EBA was gone they replaced it with ABA. I'm not sure what Waynes did though. The two fairgrounds races in Feb and April(?)86 were the last ones I went to.

I've got some of Robins-Goracy going at it at Can-Am. I think Robins edged him out because he was smoother over the jumps and pedaled over the top and backsides.

this was..that water jump...PA track,whitey your teamates dad owned it,and i remember a day,mr.james and yourself,blazed said teamate on his own track enough for him to not race that day...anyways this is me,huge collar,gt helmet,2nd day on schwinn team,Canadian Pat behind me,and grand island russ next to me...that track was fun...and ya cant beat that with a bat...
