I got back into racing 20" again this year. I did ride at Binghamton (it's open to the public) when it was nice a few weeks ago. That was great because I got to work on specific things like jumping and doubling up on the rhythm section that you can't normally do at a BMX practice. I gained a lot of confidence back jumping that I didn't have during races. The hardest thing for me is the rhythm sections and manualling through them. I don't remember any of those from the more flat open 80's tracks. I get squirrely there. Oh and breathing is a problem. Yeah I can only do about 1/2 a track and I'm out!

The reunion should have an old timers race. Maybe at Southtown?

Meanwhile here's the start to building an old Robinson:

BIG SNAP from the outside!! 17 & Over expert main at Titusville. DJ had the gate and the pull. 1st place baby, I was able to grab the second with a little help from my friends ; )

The day-glo orange bike was awesome. One of my favorites. Gotta love the matching numbers.

Andrew the screen capture is just mean.......DJ is looking for his mouth piece while the corner marshall starts the "10" count.

Gotta keep this stuff coming guys. As far as seeing me on a gate again not looking good. That's a whole other story.........

Whitey

What was the inseam on those Schwinn leathers???
whitey
Here you go, this is how that main at Titusville ended over the last jump.........ha ha ha.

Representing EBA/Cool-Tool years later.........

invisibleman1
omg i hate you..
those schwinn pants were painted on,custom..ahahhahaa..Gear leathers were a bad choice, didnt matter what size we got, they all looked like SOLID GOLD DANCER costumes..i recall some levis YOU wore...ahaha...my dad is cracking up reading all this mess.
i know you cant stay away from the chance to holeshot all of us...i'll have to break out the CANAM-SLINGSHOT move, and me and D and vic can malachi crunch you in the last turn.
You seriously kicked *** for all of us thru the years man,we're all proud..now dust off the bike, and hook us with the dan's discount haha.
mdurg-Billy Robbins is getting this reunion together i think, maybe he needs to post up info here
i know you jerks have more pics...get them up before i start posting some you dont wanna see....yeah THOSE.
invisibleman1
B. Apold
cool thread
whitey
Oh man....I can't believe you just posted that modeling shot of yourself. I am afraid of what you have on us.

By the way girls would love to find a pair of jeans that fit that tight.....ha ha ha. I can't believe I could actually ride in those jeans........man they look snug!

When I get back home for Christmas I gotta have Chillin' Rog find the old pictures we have. I know we got some good stuff.

My stomache hurts from laughing at this stuff.

By the way the don't make me pull out the old National Pro and clip in.........
whitey
Thanks for the love Brad. We have only scratched the surface, this could get ugly. (Still laughing.....)

Stay tuned......
invisibleman1
omg this is awesome, cats biting my steez even to this day...knees out playa haters!
seriously....as a 15X,the first time over the murray world cup doubles was balls.obviously this was MY first time..i saw a few A & B PROS chew on these,...i remember this fear..believe it or not,i made it every try,no really. haha

i'm laughing my *** off too fellas.....look at that cyclecraft family goodness...good god.

FT WAYNE indiana practice...on the 24 JMC...lane 8 of course..peep my Burgandy EXTRA MEDIUM Gucci sweatshirt...i made the main i'm pretty sure in 20,and ate frrrt on 24...

10bux whitey comments on my late snap..i think thats Dave James in the Brown shirt/shorts leaning on that fence admiring my Chess King butter steelo and 24" Ambrosia wheels...you know this foo...ahahahaaa
invisibleman1
laugh it up on the schwinn disco tights,...yeah what...anyone remember this guy? KA-POW!...plenty more comin'...(the flood gates have been opened)

i cant even look at this stuff...i'm in tears laughing
whitey
OMG!!! You brought out the mullett. Where do you get this stuff from?? I'm crying here, my stomach is killing me!!

Late snap or not. I know your about to throw the horses down. You got the only start on that gate that has a chance at a powerful second pedal, everyone else is too far forward. Plus, I know you had some horsepower from chasing us around...ha ha ha!

DJ did have a tendancy to eat WAY too much at breakfast. I'm sure he barfed that up before his first moto.

Whoo eee! The big dubs at Nashville were pretty scary. Other than your belt stuck to the bars, looks pretty good for the first attempt. I am sure your heart is beating like crazy.......
I still wake up thinking about those doubles. I remember Brian Foster jumped sideways in front of me in the 18 & over expert main on those.

I wont bag on the Gucci sweatshirt, that was pure style.

Aww man this stuff is funny............
invisibleman1
dang man.......its gettin GOOD up in here...
invisibleman1
oooooh, gettin' some over them onandogangaga doubles..i think eba was on its way out at this point...i just wish whitey gave out the EXTRA MEDIUM sweet shirts...SNUGS

invisibleman1
a P.A. plate up in here?...its not mine, can anyone besides Vic,put a name to this one???? the Pines has spilled over into PA?...hint: who gets the ILL gates @ southpark....
whats this N for?

mdurg
What a contrast how flat the old tracks were then. I used to think it was cool how Vendetti's little kid could manual (wasn't called that then) those doubles. Now it's a required skill that's messing me up! (rhythm section at Bridgewater)
invisibleman1
mdurg----dig a set of triples, and JUST BLAZE! them..you clip in?..its easier learning on flats so when you start to loop out,you can just abandon ship.

Ok heres a video for you--this is jeffrey upshaw, study him...dude is MONEY wit dem manuals.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm8b-Wymljw

tracks are super tech now,and i'll man up over doubles and triples still, and the young cats give me stink-eye,bcause i dont manual EVERYTHING...but those little rats cant say jack-[I tried to cheat the filter],because i just SMOKED their dads. HAWLLA! haha

and i got a baaaaaad feeling about what whitey is gonna drop photowise...i'm almost out of ammo too. doh.

[ December 17, 2006, 10:34 PM: Message edited by: invisibleman1 ]
mdurg
Sweet! Nah I don't clip. I can manual doubles and step ups though sometimes sketchy. A whole rhythm section is a disaster for me LOL. I need a place to ride dirt and less rain would help next year. Do you race regularly?
invisibleman1
na,i wish,i've been slammed with work,i moved, and have had a cold for 3 weeks....but i have tracks here...Orange,Bellflower,whitter will be reopening...plus sheephills is a bike ride away...i'm gonna chase a plate this year, since aba has like 10 to shoot for,it might happen..haha..so i guess i'll be racing more soon..
my son just turned 4,so i need to get my *** in gear...i dont need him smirking at me the whole way home after he holeshots me all afternoon...
whats the scoop on the syracuse indoor track? (someone wants to build??)...if thats real,i WILL come home for openers...but i know whitey is gonna stuff me IN EVERY CORNER every chance he gets for posting that mullet pic....i'm a marked man. HAHAHAHA...and dont sweat it if DJ is on the gate next to you, just slingshot. and hear the spinout. fzzzzzt. haahahahahha man,i'm F@#$%ing hilarious.
invisibleman1
oh no! who is THAT about look for their contact lens? hahahahaahahh...oh man...cakes and pies.
there were 4 horns dude...not 3. hahahaaa

invisibleman1
DAAAAAAAAAAAAVID JAAAAAAAAAAMES..money used to run the visor on the top on his helmet...like straight up..then we all did the following week..you did too whitey...like 4 inches above the snap...ahahaa
mdurg
Headrush is supposed to be doing the indoor track. I think they are doing everything else first (stuff that makes money) I think they have a hotel done, paintball, motocross bldg currently under construction. Skatepark and BMX supposedly coming but they are also supposed to do a waterpark. Could be nice but I'll believe it when I'm on the gate.
invisibleman1
someones gettin' pulled..........

D James
I think he is drafting
Whats up with Whitey's pants?
D James
I think he is drafting
Whats up with Whitey's pants?
invisibleman1

muuhahahaa.
invisibleman1
mdurg,
please keep everyone posted on syracuse track!!!.we'll be there on the gate next to you opening day!...bring out ray goracy too...brake checkin you both in the corners...and i'm gonna slaaang-shot the hell out of all yall...esp dave james...brrrrrrvvt.
whitey
FRILLO in the house!!!! Andy Weir (#171) rockin' the Zeronine uni. He was one funny dude!!

Never understood the whole 1 3/8 for the front wheel Huggy ran. Seems like you'd be riding uphill all day. Worked for him though, hauled arse and kicked some serious butt!!!

Nice table over the Onondaga doubles. Where did you learn that style??
whitey
Here is the aftermath of the gate flip by yours truly. For the record I thought I was racing ABA and went on "THE" in "watch the gate". You would think someone would have waited to see if I was all right........DAVE.

whitey
This is how you represent:
1. Go to South Park for the biggest national of the year.
2. Get a moto full of Factory dudes.
3. Show up for your moto in sweat pants (that don't fit cause you grabbed them from your friend who is a foot shorter than you).
4. Grab some random long sleeve t-shirt.
5. Don't wear gloves.
6. MOST IMPORTANT: Holeshot your moto and win by multiple bike lenghts.

David James #09J showing you how its done.......

LMAO.....

This was near the end of the EBA. After racing all summer on the NBL curcuit we decided to crash the EBA Grands race and pretty much win everything. DJ and I getting ready to lay the horsies down.
Poor T-Bear, doesn't even know what he is in for. That front brake anin't gonna help! GOOD-BYE!!

whitey
80's racing at its best: Looooong Straights and no jumps. Amherst Supercross (back then it was).

Full speed and pullin T-Bear...........

whitey
Is that Jimmy Leach doing the table over the first jump at Cool-Tool?? Fast dude......I think he ran track.
whitey
That video of Upshaw is too cool. That cat has style and skills for days. Fast & smooth........must be nice.

Jim could do stuff like that. He used to manuel all the way to the Pines.

My only shot at manueling like that was to get going as FAST as possible and hold on for dear life. My thing was bump jumping...........
whitey
Anybody remember this 80's cover band??

They used to play small venues all over Western NY, PA, and Canada. I think it was mostly metal and rock. Definately no Journey songs like some bands.........
invisibleman1
this is all blowing my mind man...i remember amherst supercross!!! the starting hill chewed holes in my 'wrist wraps' after i flipped the gate in the semis...i think i blew out the baby blue zeronine pants i had...you could hear it like a firecracker..."yeaaap andrew just blew his pressure seals leathers again"

omg dave james dusting the stacked moto at south park...dude looks like he has those SUPER high converse on,but rocked them straight-up..

i remember you embarrassing more than 1 full-factory million dollar dude..

remember that can-am billy au,and that one cat came..dude wore full neon sweats...

these pics are great whitey...keep ones without ME comin!!!! hahahahahahaahhahahaha

Nope, sorry to say those are socks. Yep DJ wearin' white socks pulled up to his knees. Those sweat pants/tights were so short he had to make up for it.

OMG. This stuff is too funny. I think about this stuff during the day and laugh.

Billy Au, Doni Hier (neon sweats and bike), Doug Jicha, and those fast dudes from MI used to come up and house us at the Can-Ams in Niagara. We finally got them back the last couple races. That was WAY too much fun.

I'll keep diggin through the old pics.........I know I must have something incriminating on you. Don't know if I can top the modeling shot though. ha ha ha!

Did you see when ya blew up the picture of my jeans.........seven's baby. I was way ahead of my time. ha ha ha ha!!!

ooohhh my kidney's hurt..........ha ha ha ha!!!!
invisibleman1
THEY WERE SIZE SEVENS!!!....YOU WORE A 28!! AHAHAHAHAH!!!!

yeah i die laughing all damn day wondering what the hell is next on here..

...the sweats/sock combo dj is rocking has got us both in the clear....im DYING over those..omg DAVE...those were like youth mediums left in the dryer for a hour on high...dah-dang.
