Dude that's the nicest folding table I've ever seen!
That last pic reminds me how they don't build them like they used to. Those dropouts were put on like punctuation to poetry. Maybe its just the angle of the shot... Enjoy building that up.

Nice frame.
I have not seen a GJS that has the brace behind the seatpost (mine does not).
Is that original?

Sorry, forgot to say thanks Loudog! Gave you props elsewhere. You are the man.
In another thread, Greg Hanna said it is an 84, when they had the seat stay gusset, while JU thinks maybe it is 78 and the seat stay gusset was added.

I got the frame from Jason, not the folding table. I got that elsewhere. Thanks again Jason.

That's not an 84. It does look like a repair job. My sheet metal gusseted frame has a crack there also (unrepaired of course)

If I'm not mistaken, that little bracket behind the seat post is a repair where they commonly crack.

The table has absolutely no repairs. On the frame, did the seat tube crack, or the chain stays, or where they meet, or what. Maybe it was preventive maintenance, like, lets weld a gusset here because that's where they break.

I bought a GJS new in 1979. Within a year-and-a-half, it cracked right where that gusset is located.
Still, very cool find - I bought my current GJS from Haney a couple years ago, and have no plans on parting with it. Fave frame of all time!
