When did GT go to the larger Dia. downtube on the Pro frames. Also what is the TT length for the pre 82 Pro frames??

did they not make a smaller down tube expert frame during the same time as the larger down tube pro frame? but i think you are asking, when did it go from the pedals ready gt to the gt? i think that had to be around 1978-79 time frame. greg, how you been anyway?

I just measured my 81 GT Pro, and the TT is 18.5" center to center...I think that the experts had the smaller down tube, I'm not sure if the Pro model ever had a small downtube...maybe the early Gary Turner models did.

How's your pile going? Done any organizing lately, it always great to see what pops up when you start moving stuff around!!!!! How's Betsy, we have'nt talked in awhile. Hows the ol' Chev?
I just got a Sept. 81 Pro frame, and was curious about some of the details on the pre 82 GT's.

everything cool down here and the pile of bikes has not moved much and the car is not restored and I am still married somehow. go figure.

82 was the first year for the larger down tube on the pro. The standard frame never has a large bottom tube.
The pro and standard frames both had smaller Down tube up to 81 and in 82 they switched . The standard kept that smaller down tube because it also came in euro-BB as well as standard-BB. The pr
