I discovered what I think is a neat little idea that just might be the trick to spruse up some parts that might not be looking so good....a silver Sharpie. I used one to color over all the spokes that are rusting/corroding up due to age and weather, (I live by the beach), it really made the whole wheel look a whole lot better, even did the nipples. I just did it so I don't know how long it'll look good but it looks a whole lot better now, I've also used the silver Sharpie on Araya alum. rims(doesn't quite match but close enough) and metal parts like seat clamps, gives it a zinc sorta look. Just some useless info that might be of use to someone, just a by-product of having no girlfriend/wife/life/nothing better to do.

I've used black Sharpys to touch up my black parts, it works great...

The silver sharpie is also excellent for touching the letters on Ashtabula stamped components. Looks just like the original paint
Jeff Utterback
I have always used the silver sharpie for sighning my *hero* cards at the drags...(BIG roll eyes folks! I'm kidding!)

Spike, I know you are clean and sober but this is the kind of thing I would do when I had been awake for... well, Awhile...

Side note, waiting to hear from my parts source so I can get my build done and meet you for some of those Del Rey rides!
Rod Miles
Too funny,
Back in the day before I could get my hands in anodized parts I use to "El Marco" everything blue, black or whatever.....lol
Rims, hubs, number plates, seat posts, and brakes. Heck even my helmets, Jerseys and pants were all done that way...

I didn't know McDonald's had a team, he!! I probably helped finance it. Jeff, I ready for a ride whenever you are. I know if I had a chick in my life there'd be no way I'd be coloring spokes......lol.

Spike, if you want to go riding I am local to you. I have two 24 race cruisers( HutchXL24 and a XS Schwinn) good to go.

Rod, I dig those pictures. Bitd we did what we did and did not care.

That jump picture is awesome!!

Rod, My wife has a mid 90s 24 race cruiser with Sun Rims. Are they anything special?
Reilley1
Damn! If Curt, Spike and JU get together for a ride, the combined age would be what? Like 200 years?
spike
Easy there tiger.....150 tops. If YOU showed up for a ride maybe......
Curt

Reilley1

Walter
a bango would make it 350 years easy
TEAMRICK aka RICK TWOMEY
spike needs to spend as much time looking for girlfriend, as he does complaining about not having one.
don't ypu remember what tom hanks said ? "there's no crying in bmx" or maybe a different movie.
instead of putting your sharpie on the bike. get on your bike, and ride,....ride that dine-a-sore ! lol

Reilley1
