Scored these today. what year are they from?

1977 - 1980 he raced for Shimano. 1977 he was NBA #1 and raced on a Suzuki then later switched to Mongoose.

I got this Shimano borchure in the mail in Dec. 1982.
At that point I don't know that Bobby was on Shimano or not but they were still advertising his signature product. I'd imagine this shows correct sticker placement.

Does the bike in the ad have a grip shift, or just a lever. For what it's worth, the Huffy Pro Thunder Z2 bike had shimano components for it's two speed setup. Of course, it didn't have DX cranks.

It has what looks like a combination white plastic thumb shifter below a shimao DX lever.

Wow, I do not remember that ad.Or ever seeing that bike, the gusset looks like it's from an an old Suzuki frame.
