I just scored a 1978 Team Mongoose Frame.
Can anyone tell me what the proper build would be for this year of frame. Nothing on this bike is origional, so I wanted to maybe build it up and needed some advice.

Thanks
Rick

I'll get pictures. I am out here in Colorado Springs Co. and have been hitting these Flea markets each summer and this is the first score....The frame needs paint and a little Rod'Z repair done but it was worth the $15.00. I was just in G'ville (grew up there)and looked around the few shops there for a find.....but looks like you have already been there....LOL

rick, I guess it depends if you want to do a factory/original equipment build or a build with era correct parts for 1978 or earlier. What did you have in mind?

There are some serious mongoose guys on here too...check out Randy's Team Mongoose thread, it has all the hot parts for 1978. Be prepared though, some of the parts took him years to get!

I guess I was leaning towards a factory build. I believe I have many of the parts for a 1978 era build. I need some ideas. Do you have Randy's thread for the Team Bikes?

Thanks
