Stopped off at lots of random places on my way home from Rockford. One of those places was the thrilling metropolis of Terre Haute, Indiana!!! Anyways, in a local shop there is a Hutch racer of some type (looked to be a pro or expert size)hanging up high on the back wall. I asked if it was for sale, they said yes, but I'd have to talk to the owner of the shop. I didn't want to wait around, so I figure I'd let someone local try and score it. There's also some nice mid-school Powerlite handlebars (a few sets!) some white 24 inch mags in the back room, and other odds and ends. The shop is called
Terre Haute Cycling & Fitness, at the corner of Springhill & 7th. 812-234-7731

Somebody please follow up on this, post here if you get the Hutch!!!

So was the HUTCH nos? Did it have the normal sticker set on it or was it the red and blue? 184 miles from Chicago.

Not nos, a good clean used complete bike, chrome with normal Hutch stickers on it, built up with decent parts (no Aerospeeds!).

Just a bump to make sure somebody sees this. Anyone gonna go check it out?

Dave I'm sure the vultures are already swarming the armpit of Indiana. I'm close to Terre Haute so I may go check it out. I'm surprised that you found anything at all, since most of the shops south of I-70 have already been picked clean.

Are Rich and Ray loosing thier touch? Scott you know what I am talking about. Rich and Ray are a pair of brothers (twins) great guys but man can they sniff this stuff out before the rest of us.

Scott if you go there let me know what you find? I need a rider for William this summer. Seems the Proclass, Diamondback and GT Performer are not the ride to have this summer....Kids go figure....

Interesting to see if someone gets it. Might be that the price is nutty, maybe that's why it's still up there. We'll see!

Dont bother calling or making a roadtrip to Terre Haute. I just talked to the owner and the Hutch hanging on the wall is NOT FOR SALE.

Outfront, I'm sure they have already seen it.

indylowdown- Did you call or go in person? Just curious... Wonder how many peope called about it already, maybe the owner got spooked, and now it's "not fer sale"!

I can see it now... "Jeez kid, do you know what them Hutch bikes is worth !?$?!!!$$$???"

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH HIM. First thousand dollars gets it. Hutch hubs(sealed) Hutch pedals(sealed) Hutch bars. depends how bad you want a hutch. Just tell greg that dave from streits sent you . Or it's not for sale
indylodown
Dave - Sounds like you got more info from him then I did. 1,000 clams no thanks its only a Hutch. I'm sure I'll get slammed for that comment but a $1,000 bucks would go along way towards a new race bike.
