You guys remember that nasty mxll I found at the city dump? Well I broke out the ajax, bleach, and the scub pads. This is how it turned out so far. Please be gentle. It's my first time. (build) lol.
There are alot of thanks to give for this build.
First and formost , thanks go out too tnjsdad. Without his persistant nagging I would have sold this thing long ago. Thanks a mill. BRO.
The biggest thank you goes out too the founding fathers of this site.... Without vbmx I would'nt have a place too show this or ask the questions to finish this baby. Rick, Hal. YOU ROCK....

Oh, the gold cranks are now red w/a white chain ring. They will go on at the shin dig at tnjsdad. Still looking for the front and rear red brake set.

Tony

retrodave
Yes it is the same one. one week of wet sanding and hand polishing. I'm not done with it yet though.Gotta fix the redline down the center
cycleace
Whoa !

It looks great to me even with the solid red in the center. And I thought for sure that you had to put it on a buffing wheel for that kinda shine.

Thanks alot fellow vintage brothers. I am glad that the bike was a hit. as far as the tires go. I got them through QBP . The stem is not quite finished yet. Just a little more love and it will be right.

That is one of the best "saves" that I have seen, NO BS, it looks GREAT!!! It's hard to believe that it's the same Redline.

We want serial # pics to prove it!! (J/K)

Cheers,
Brian
retrodave
bkquill. I got you covered. I knew someone was going to challenge me. So I thought ahead. Lowchin has the original serial # I have the same one in white. The reason he has the original is I put this on ebay and noone even looked twice. So I said f@#$%$%%^k it and the rest is history.
