I was about 13 and hangin out the week before NBL national in Vincenness In at my buddy Mitch Parkers house to get some track time in. PK and TGI rolled into town on weds afternoon. Thaey got workin on the track to trick it out some more (volunteering their time) and gave me some major tips on the track. Also got to give some input as well as shovel time to the venture.
Days like those are what has kept me around this sport a mojority of my life. Hey, I'd say it probly kept me out of jail too.
Bought me a new Team issue Ripper this week! Bringin back the days of old!

3Doors,
PK and TGIF are still fine guys! You'd be more proud to know them today. Toss in the occasional JU and Dave Clinton and you have a van full of really great guys!

Dont think I've seen either in ten years. Most of those guy's are still the coolest I'm sure. Got up to my local track for a few minutes during the national this past weekend. Saw a few of my ol buds.

I love stories like that. I also love doing the shovel work and making new trails/tracks and fixing lips and such. I like it as much as riding.

Man, I wish i had all the pix from the ol daze. Lost them in a fire a few years back. Had some cool stuff- like Leary and Tim Judge throwin dual "Leary's" up in Indy during the JOX/JAG indoor. Concrete track w/wooden ramps!!!
I think the OM himself showed up at some of the nats I've been at aver the years.
I love this place!!!!

Yo Trey Dude, I so remember that visit to Vincenness track. That was Perry Kramer’s Pro
School of BMX Tour Sponsored by BMX Plus mag.
That tour was a lot of fun, meeting on the local Joe Kids around the country. Its kinda funny thinking about leaving so-cal with a couple hundred bucks and hoping we are gonna make enough money doing clinics and racing to pay for two months of travel expenses- no credit card just clinic and purse $$$.
Seems like we always performed better when we had to get the job done- I mean if we didn’t make enough money we could have been stuck.
Thankfully The NBL War of the Stars Nationals paid pretty well.
Thanks for bringing this up and thanks for the nice comments guys.. It means a lot- its nice to know that the clinics made a small difference in some Joe Kids lives.

Dude, you guys made a huge difference in this bums life. Like I said- and it's true for sure, BMX as a whole kept me out of prison.
I had the opp last night at local track to help out buddy's kid on simple things like- registering, getting license, gates. It was cool! Even thought he crashed first turn of first moto!

Scott B is right , PK really was a great ambassador for the sport.
I was fortunate enough to have a yak with him inbetween races for 1/4 to 1/2 an hour in the pits on a busy race day.
I somehow missed out on going to the riding clinic he held , but my younger brother Matt went & said what he had to say & show the younger riders there was really helpful.
PK was cool enough to more than just scribble his signature onto my BMXA mag , it's the little things
that the visiting US Pro's did back then that really made such a big difference to us all.

A priceless treasure of my youth that I made sure got kept safe & intact over the years.
