I just talked to Sodbuster. Brian's right in the middle of the Vintage Show. Man that place is noisy. There were 193 registered bikes plus another 40 this morning including his own Schwinn. That's over 230 bikes in the Show not to mention all the others and stuff. He's talked to Bill & Rick, Elvis & Jason and lots of others and taking plenty of pictures. He had dinner last night at Hooters with TIM, OS guy Just Chillin', and another guy he forgot his name. Then, they had a Keg of beer in the hospitality suite at the Clock Tower and they sat and BS'd until 1:30am. Anyway, good times a going on.

LOL!! I don't think it was Sod or TIM. They're both old married dudes. It wouldn't surprise me though if the younger guys were involved. Brian did mention that he has a funny story to tell me about Jason though.

The Hooter's girls were just there passing out flyers and coupons. We'll let Jason tell his funny story. BEST of SHOW and BEST FREESTYLE was the Pink Hutch. Brian said lots of freestyle bikes this year. Great Show!! Harry's talk at the banquet was excellent and he had a question and answer session too. And the band was great!

Did they show the Skyway Factory DVD at the dinner?

It was all fun and games until someone broke out the pepperspray. Yes, Jason is right, wait 'til you see the video. If and when you see the video just imagine these words coming from Jason's mouth, "My work here is done". LOL !!
BTW, I was designated driver and had a great time nonetheless. In the South, designated drivers can drink all the soft drinks they want for free. Not at the Tiger Tail though. I did manage to sweet talk the girl into giving me a few freebies though.

Hey Bart, we had projector issues and barely had time get things running before Harry's slideshow. I had the dvd with me all day and never got to watch it myself. bummed.

Scott Towne's improvisational humor made up for it!
"444, 2/3'rds of the beast" (while calling out raffle ticket numbers)
"you win a key to Tim Cook's garage"
- funny stuff!
The banquet was great, Harry Leary's presentation was riveting! Just a great time.
Big thanks to Rick, Bill, Hal, and everyone who pitched in. Rockford 2006 was great!

Lots of new friends!!! Mike (Chevron), Chip (streetrod), Dan (DansHaros), HOT DOG......and this whole time, I thought Freestyle guys were jerks! (kiddin)
I met many more people and it's always hard to rermember everyones names/ID's....but I felt right at home talking with everyone. Whether we were taking about:
David Geffen's casting couch
SST coaster hubs
Beer bottles up-side the head
Harry Leary
Collecting things with "2112" on them
The "lipstick" on Jay Stark's left cheek
Underwater beer bongs
1st Gen Graphites
Mace to the Face
So much fun....So many fun and funny people.
You guys/gals are the best!

Tom,
You're absolutely correct. I only wish I could have met more of you and shot the sh*t longer. Those Sonlite hubs were incredible - first time I ever saw a pair in person!
Thanks for the cold beverages!

I only went Saturday and to the banquet, but I'm stoked to have been able to attend. Am planning on next year if I can, and bringing something or two to enter as well.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all who were involved in the production of this event---a lot of hard work and love went into it, I could tell. It did not go unnoticed. I didn't have a chance to meet and talk with all of you who were there, but from who I did meet, you are all great as far as I'm concerned. Just got a great vibe. Thanks!
