hey dude there was a topic about a similair thing recently with a set of real cheap bullseye hubset, but my suggestion was cut it oback with an angle grinder to heat the metal of the freewheel up and expand and loosen it up. anyway good luck P.s. I've got a front like that except faded to polished or mightve been costic sodaed at some point who knows

Funny you bring it up. Here is the response I got from them:
quote:
Being a high flange there is no problem lacing them. The spokes came out didn't they... therefor they go back in also. Thanks for the concern though.
All I said was that it is very tricky to re-lace that hub.

hey bully i actually posted on that topic a couple of weeks ago . Its just funny the way people keep doing it . i say the best way is to SANDWICH the hub between 2 blocks of wood and use the normal FREEWHEEL TAKERER OFFERER

just weld a couple small spots on the freewheel and take it off with a freewheel remove.

bmx2112 , the freewheel gripping is not the problem , its the hub turning . usually the rim with spokes hold it tight . no spokes , no rim ....and no chance of lacing it either is the problem .

Actually Maplebar, this is what you said to me.
"since the freewheel is still on and in the way, you cannot lace up the hub".
Have a closer look. High flange hub plus 16 tooth sprocket means you can in fact re-lace these hubs quite easily!!! I got these hubs with a bunch of other parts as is and have no need for them hence they are on the bay. Selling them has nothing to do with "learning the hard way".

It is easy to get it off... I have done it lots of time's you lace up the side with no free wheel.
You will only need one side re-laced, once you have the free wheel off re-lace the other side.

I have 100% ebay feedback and have never ripped anyone off. I always describe items with as much detail as possible and certainly would never look to off load problem parts on unsuspecting buyers. As I have already stated, these hubs can be easily laced on both flanges as per normal.

Hey, if anyone has a set of hubs with FW still on and you're not sure what do do with them ...send that worthless junk to me.
I will make sure it is properly taken care of.
I just bought a set of Sunshine HF hubs with FW still on. Got a great price on good condition hubs.
I'll teach my daughter how to build them up and she will have some cool vintage wheels for her Predator.
5 pulling spokes on each side of the hub is usually enough to break the FW loose in a vise. If you are worried about the rim, use more spokes.
with LF hubs, take some junk spokes and bend them thru the holes (mentioned in the other thread)
