OK, so we're not where we want to be, lets show our bikes here.

Everything welcome, bring it on....

Two Stings to start.
JennBMXmom
Nice rides!!! I dig the "Race for Life" number plate! You don't see many of those around anymore!! I have 1, from around 82! We have 3 actually, but not sure where the other 2 are!!! In a box somewhere, just haven't dug it out yet!!! Sweet though!!!
sk8bones
Here's my Schwinn. It's getting a lovely yellow powdercoat. I think there's gonna be some hoopla starting next week on the other US site. I hope I get my pitbike wheels soon.
NSR Jamie
If I were there, I would probably enter these two bikes. First is my lovely and original chrome KZ-83 LaserLite. Second would be my beautifully restored early KZ-1 bike. Maybe I will be there for 2007 now that I am moving closer to home this year. Cheers

Here's my Hutch Pro Star replica and my original owner '87 Robinson Pro Team. Wish I were in Rockford, but here with you guys is a nice second best.

Long distance representation . . .

In progress for next year . . .

Sk8bones, be careful, the original Scrambler decals won't stick to powdercoating. The decals are the ones you soak in water then apply and (I don't know the technical reason) they don't stick to powder coating.

By the way, the wheels for the Scrambler are on the way.
hutchhound
I was going to enter these in the show.

And here's a family photo...

Paperboy
Super nice bikes. So out of my league.
Ringer
Theres a survivor category right? Does it only apply to bikes that haven't been rebuilt? Screw it heres a survivor frame

Holy smoke, Cornfed.

My money was on Martin's Skyway (and that Proline is gonna look amazing when assembled!) until you reminded us that you've got this thing laying around.

Holy smoke, all y'all.

Awesome bikes guys! I'll be going back to the show later today, after Jon (agentheinz) gets his butt over here.

AndyDiamond
How about this?

or this?

or this lot....

and this (but it ain't finished yet...)
Nic Johnson99
Beautiful bikes all. Ringer, I love your blue Kuwahara. Anyway, I'm not at Rockford either...

AndyDiamond
Holy heck Johnson!

That Powrelite is PRIMO!!!!

Wow - has to be the best Powerlite I've seen (except the pedals suck - get some old school ones - lol)

PS: are those powerlite bars not Power Bends?
The end look straight...
Ringer
thanks Johnson, your powerlite is an awesome showpiece, WOW!
Randy
oh my, that Powerlite is purty.
www.martin-bike.com
Yep, best 20" Powerlite I've seen yet.
Nic Johnson99
Thank you gentlemen--the compliments mean A LOT coming from this group. I'm quite proud of this little plite. There are a lot of used parts on it that got polished and/or painted. I kept a sort of visual diary of this project--way more than anyone wants to know but it can be seen HERE.

The pedals... I know, I know...I wanted beartrap style pedals but couldn't swing the $$$ on the real deal so I cut these up, polished them and, well...they have a lot of heart.

Andy, they are power bend bars. See...
Nic Johnson99
Randy...is that 2 stage candy blue on your Sting? my plite is the 2 stage powder thing. I suspect that BITD that kind of paint job didn't really happen on BMX frames, did it?
Randy
Yes, it's 2-stage. Transparent blue powder over silver metal flake powder. Can't say whether it's the same process Schwinn used bitd but the result matches.
Frostie
There's an awful lot of stunning bikes associated with the os forums, but that Powerlite takes the biscuit, I guess purely on the "you don't see many of them" stakes, colour really suits it.
B. Apold
Johnson99, I think that Powerlite is winner!!! That is one eye catching bike. I love the burgandy color
scottTowne
The Powerlite is amazing. The chrome JMC is the original Rockford award winner...
jjcmack
I would of brought these.

AndyDiamond
Johnson - those step by step pics are cool.

If I had a spare set of polished DX pedals laying around I would set them to you!
Nic Johnson99
Andy, thanks man...the thought is appreciated. Glad you liked the picts/journal thing. It was fun project. This bike has a twin RA7 that was built at the same time. I'll try to post the RA7 picts too. Been meaning to do that for months now.
P.K. and Hutch
Can't pass up an opportunity to post pics ...

KOSY-MOTO
... and here's my bikes that I dream't of taking to Rockford..
