Just to let everyone know, I just got off the phone with the OM about 30mins. ago and he needs help with his bail! HE DOES NOT NEED MONEY, ONLY A CO-SIGNER FOR THE BAIL-BOND!!!! He is very anxious to get home to sleep in his own bed, and we all know he is in a place he does not need to be!!! Once again, he DOES NOT need money, he only needs someone with good credit who can sign for him, unfortunately my credit sucks!!!! Here is how you can help call Alladin Bail Bonds at 909-944-4855, here is the info you will need: his # is 0604342280, he is in W.V.D.C. in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Please post if you can help out so I can let him know! PLEASE........ help the OM. He needs help, not to be in jail!!!!
Sknight88
My credit sucks so I cant help him, but please, remember, you are liable. Not that hes a flee'r, but make sure you discuss this with the family first! Best of luck to him, I truly wish him the best, the Knight family
RePeet
Yeah, We know! We have discussed it and decided it was the thing to do since Scot has done so much for us and for others! He did things he didn't have to do, also!!! Thanks though!! Rick & Jenn
Ramon a.k.a Beaner
TIM, Willing to do this for Scot? This is a bit much don't you think?
race_inc
Just curious. If you co-sign, what happens if he misses his court date? Just how much is his bail?
pk ripped
$35,000. Trying to get 7 people to co-sign $5000 each.
RePeet
We don't think it's too much to ask, so that's 1 down, 6 to go! 8-10 and it will be even easier and faster! I'm sure I'm not the only one that hasn't given up on the OM and who hasn't forgot what all the good he did in the past!
Kerry
Someone.... at least one member of his family has to have good credit. If they aren't doing it thats saying something. Why would anyone with half a brain & good credit risk it with a multiple offender?

I mean... I know guys dig him around here but get real. No offense to the new poster but that takes serious audacity to ask a message board to do such a whopping favor. How many guys from this place actually know Scot sooo well that their willing to lose $35k on him? I own a home, business & have a family...how could one risk that in anyway?

I for one agree that drug users DON'T belong behind bars but this is the craziest request I've ever seen. With all the above said...He knew the risk even if the laws are jaded & did it anyway. Roast me if you want but I could care less...common sense talking here.
race_inc
Word!
RePeet
Not trying to get you to do it! Trying to get a few people who care to do it! Trust me I have common sense , but I also remember where I came from and don't try to let everyone else know what I have! By the way is it all paid for, or financed? Mines paid for that' s why I can!!!

Kerry
Yeah...I'm sure your house & business is paid in full:rolleyes:. If it is simply re-finance your home or business & take out some equity for your bud. Dude, I'm not bragging at all...where is your common sense again? I didn't forget where I came from. Where I came from I don't bet the longshot with my own future. Bmx bikes & people are great! Would I give a stranger my hard work & good credit? I think not.
Kerry
If whatever you have is " all paid for ". Sell it, mortgage it or re-fi it....I mean, you remember where you came from right? Put your money where your paid for mouth is.
RePeet
Well keep rolling, cause everything I own is paid in full!!!! That's right, roll your eyes again! Cause I'm laughing my butt off !!!! I'll take out the equity no problem, you seem to have the problem! Why are you so worried about those of us that have it together and just want to do a good thing! For someone who deserves it?!?!?!?
race_inc
quote:
Why are you so worried about those of us that have it together
So are you saying that if everything you own isnt paid for you dont "have it together"?
Kerry
Because what you ask is ludicrous. You ask a message board but not his family. You haven't addressed any of my stiff questions. So the conversation/thread is over correct? Your equity in whatever you own is going to square this problem away? Phew! Thank god for guys like you. P.S. yeah, I have a Mortgage. I paid attention & paid all my bills on time. The bank/lender was able to lend me what I needed for a great home for my wife & kids. The very thing you screwed up & mock me for is what you wished you had. I hope Scot gets the help he needs & sticks to it. He will appreciate you stepping up & shaving off your investments, home or whatever you have to solely bail him out. I salute you, you're a very good friend. I would do the same to someone I knew close & personal.

I remember where I came from, you bet! And I have done my share plus some! Plus if you knew what you were talking about, or knew anything about my situation, you would understand. Plus it's not about the money, it's about doing the right thing for someone that would do it for you or has done it for you A stranger-no, a friend yes! Anyway , this argument is getting boring! So, until next time!
RePeet
Yeah, WHATEVER! I know what I have ,and I didn't have to go to a bank to get it!!!! I didn't have to pay the interest rates or monthly payments! I didn't have to use a bank!!!!! I paid cash! Like I said before no credit is worse than bad credit in that way, but boy did it feel good to save all that money on finance charges, bank fees etc. So no I don't mock you and wish I had it. I have all that without the head ache and wasted money!
RePeet
race inc., not at all, but the other guy obviously doesn't have it together! It's not about the money it's about doing the right thing!

Hey Peeter! Must be nice to have rich parents!!!
Kerry
Hey **** face...shut up already. If you're a big shot, shut your trap & go bail the ****ing guy out. Yada yada yada with you already. You don't make a damn bit of sense. You keep saying " not about money". Then what the **** are you doing here asking for then? I know where I came from is the lamest bull **** I've ever heard. BOTTOM LINE, BAIL HIM OUT IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS. If you can't then you're full of ****. Either way I'm done with you.

That "other" guy is a good friend of mine and has it together more that you know! At least he aint begging for co-signers!
RePeet
Not rich parents, just know how to work hard, save right and just plain got lucky when it came to my home! But thanks sooooo much for your understanding and concern!!!
RePeet

race_inc

Kerry

cool, me too. Now re-fi $35k. When he sticks to his deal...you'll get it back & you can pay back the lender. The End
RePeet
Oh, I forgot we were playing like 1st graders!!!! Like I haven't heard that one before! I'm rubber and you are glue what ever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you! There, how is that?
RePeet
Okay Kerry, let's go together since you have it sooo together!!! You don't mind right? You can go too Race Inc.!!!! We'll make it a play date!!!
Bedlam Bikes
Kerry...You are THE man!!!! Well said.

I wouldn't co-sign for my best friend let alone the OM with a serious addiction.

Repeet - your playing with snakes and you ARE going to get bitten. trust me... Cosign that crap and you will be out the 5G's... have fun with that.
Kerry
From what it sounds like bro you have it more together then me. You don't have any bills? Congrats you're in the top 5% (guessing) of America. Teach a class at being a model citizen & I'll attend...send me the bill.
Bedlam Bikes
Repeet lives in Spfld Ill. Not exactly an expensive place to live....

Hell, I bet my garage cost more than your house.
RePeet
Obviously you didn't pay attention! He has the money! I'm in Illinois, just a little hard to get to California! To sign a piece of paper! But since ****faces don't talk to ****heads. This conversation is over!! Thanks for the laughs though! When this all works out in the end, I'll be sure to let you all know! Well, I'm on to better things and obviously better people and conversation!
Kerry
Ps Jeff...I dug your rims out this am. Having a white trash yard sale tomorrow & attending a birthday party for my daughters friend on Sunday. I will try to get you pics Sunday night. I paid $45 for them so if you want them..they are yours. Let me know man...thanks
Bedlam Bikes
I'll take them.... heck - I'll even pay cash!! lol
RePeet
New Jersey is full of nothing but garbage, how on earth could your garage be worth more than my house? And, mine is still paid for, and not financed!!!
Kerry
Maybe it's just my dumb ****ing head but couldn't you get a cashiers check from the bank you refinance with ,throw a stamp on it & send it to whatever location your boy is at? Boy oh boy was my brain steaming from that one.
Kerry
Dude...Bedlam lives in Massachusetts. Doo Doo Condos in Boston go for $400k, check yourself.

Slapnuts, I live in Massachusetts.
My signature is for the East Coast BBQ this month. Per capita, Mass has the second highest average home value in the USA.
RePeet
Yeah, well it should really be steaming now dumb***! I don't deal with banks! Why would I pay them to spend my own money!?!?!? Plus, for at least the 3rd or 4th time, it's not about the money, he has the money, it' s about a signature!!!!!!
Kerry
I'm heading into the chat. Sorry peet, but only people with a fica score over 600 can get in...
RePeet
OOOOhhhh!!! That's right you pay outrageous prices, to live with millions of other people and live right on top of one another!!! Been there too, and left asap!!! I'd much rather have my family home on an acre for much, much less !!!!
RePeet
Oh darn, and I was just having fun calling names and making new friends! Well, until next time!!! C-ya!

No it doesn't look good! We're not trying to make a bad situation look good, just trying to do a good deed for someone we truely feel deserves it! He needs the rehab help that he is asking for , not to be sitting in jail! That's why we are posting this for him! In hopes that someone can help out! Then it got a little carried away, and way off course!!!! We are just trying to find some help for the OM. He doesn't need money, he just needs a signature!!!
BenOr
I'm going out on a branch here, this thread is not helping him.

God Bless Scot.
RePeet
I agree! I didn't start this with any intention on this happening at all! I wish people could just leave well enough alone if they don't want to help!

35k credit is 35k cash money, END OF STORY PERIOD!

Your quote “We all know Scot is in a place he doesn't belong.” Brother you off base with this preconceived notion. What part of parole violation don’t you understand?

My opinion – a drug addict will only recover once he and/or she has truly hit their own rock bottom. And only then after he and/or she has dug the biggest hole they have ever dug, then if they are willing to pick up the pieces and build a new life for them selves, by them selves, with out the assistance of others, they will then be self made and in full recovery! TOUGH LOVE – WITH OUT ANY ASSISTANCE FROM OTHERS!!

I would personally never ask anyone to bail be out of a situation I created myself- I won’t do the crime if I don’t want to do the time. I do respect the legal defense fundraising efforts made here on this site though..

Believe me the above was tough for me to say, however I’ve had my own battles with addiction and know what it took for me to finally break the cycle. What I know now about addiction- your family and friends money can not save you… you can only save your self! Only a small percentage of people fully recover from addition.

I am now four years clean and sober. I work in substance abuse and coach/mentor twenty two young adults who are in recovery and trying to build a new life.

I have thought long and hard about breaking my anonymity with my fellow BMX brothers and sisters, today is the day. For a long time I’ve been pondering how I could effectively share my experience strength and hope- I’m working on an auto biography, its just starting and still a work in progress- visit http://livefastdieyoung.net

I’m looking forward to someday doing some public speaking with the BMX/Action Sports community.

I’m also working on a short film documentary called “Making the word addiction tangible.” The focus of this project will be teaching more about what living with addiction really means, what it really feels like to live with A.D.D.I.C.T.I.O.N.

My thoughts above are my own opinion and I respect every ones right to their own opinion.

Sincerely,

Byron Friday

Thats good advice, maybe you should have not kept going with the "back & forth" since Kerry was just expressing an opinion and we're all big enough to make up our own mind.
RePeet
I agree with you! I should not have gone back and forth, but I tend to get a little upset when people call names! But yes we all have our own opinions and demons and sometimes we need help in dealing with them! Thanx!
