I was riding my bike when a guy pulled up and asked if he could look at my bike. Turns out he used to work in the shipping department at a grill company where I used to work. I rode over to his house to check out his stuff.

I let him ride my bike. He went about twenty feet and pulled up the front wheel and rode it for over a block shifting through all three gears. This thing is a beast and I can't hardly get the front end off of the ground. He crashed his dirt bike a few days ago and his elbows were the size of grapefruits and one knee was worse but he rode that thing like he lived on it.

The pics are really poor as they were taken with my phone in twilight, street lights and fluorescent lights. But check them out. I left a couple pics of my mongoose on there for him to look at and another pic of some "friends" for them to download this evening. But check them out.....he's got some really cool stuff. I took pic until my phone was full but had time to put a few up.

His photo album is hilarious....about 30 pages of BMX, 2 pages of wedding stuff and then about 20 pages of MX. He took first in the Grand Nationals in Tulsa in 1991.

Wow! Cool stuff. Even grainy, the pics are a treat.

It's always fun to meet people interested in the same stuff as yourself. Next thing you know the two of you will be going to Rockford to make even more friends.

The pic on page 9........Is that an old Mongoose short frame?? You don't see too many of those anymore!
Monster-Robot
Yes, it's a shorty.

Today I'm trying to track down a long frame bike that was delivered about a week after mine in late '75. Guy is reportedly bad into meth so he may not have it but I have located where he lives. Doesn't seem like a bad place but he does have "Security by Colt" sticker on his front door.

I was told on this site that it's the oldest survivor. Are there older ones that are not "survivor" bikes? SN is 11994.

I've moved a lot of images the last couple of days. The pics of all of the stuff owned by the wheelie guy are out of my bucket.
