I totally remember your name!
Wish I could remember more.

I saw Rick Gentilella at Chula Vista Schwinn
a few months before it closed.

Are you in touch with Rick Chastain?

He's been mentioned quite a few times on VintageBMX.com

My dad was a BMXA official back inthe late 70's- early 80's.

I spoke on the phone to Hary Mutch about a month and a half ago.
He's in touch with old school SD racers Sadano Pociuncula and Deane Hamilton (who Im in touch with).
Funny, Harry had no reccolection of me. Hahaha! Oh well.
Are you in touch with Rick Chastain?
Any idea why Rick G let go of his Chula Vista Schwinn?

Johnny, unfortunately i haven't seen or talked to anyone in forever. Shortly before Rick shut down I was in there to get stuff to rebuild my old Patterson 20" and was blown away by the way Rick had gone in different areas, selling musical equip. etc. he was supposed to hook me up with Koho again and I never got back in there.
I'm sure you know not all of us were the best of people as kids, and having grown up and having kids of my own, some of my best friends while growing up don't fit in my life now.
I saw somewhere on this site mention of Bobby Nybo passing away. I'm bummed and shocked. Please fill me in.
Rick G. also told me he had seen Chastain at the shop as well but not a whole lot more.
Obviously you still ride? I wish I still had the bikes I used to have. What great memories.
So how about Koho, Walton, Walkup, Armando etc. know of their wereabouts ?
How's this for a small world. my cousin is married to Willie Waller.
Great memories !!!!

And Johnnie, if you talk to Harry Mutch again mention my name tell him I asked about his brother John. What I've heard is truely sad and would like to hear the truth.
I did see Barney Barnett a couple of years ago at xmas and he was doing well. He has served his time and trying put it behind him but said some people don't care to give him a chance. At the time he was build ,selling, racing those little pocket motorcycles. He seemed happy to see someone from the past that remembered him for what he did on a bicycle rather an episode of America's Most Wanted.
