A friend told me that he saw a bike with plastic mags by an old junkie house back in the woods. So I went and knocked on the door. Scary place, scary guy. The neighbors call the family "The Tribe" or "The Darlins" (From Andy Griffith show). So I'm thinkin' that I gonna find a set of tuffs. No it's a Huffy and he wants $50. So I walk off and the filthy "Charlie Daniels" yells "whadya give". So I say $5 and walk off with the pos bike with Safe-lites. Get it home, spray off the ants and filth off of the bike, check for ticks and wish I had my $5.

Anyone know anything about the safe-lites? Are they even worth cleaning up?

Here is where I went:

I'm glad you made it out alive! I don't think they're worth anything, 10-30 on the bay. I also have a set that Pjbaz gave me for free that I'm not going to use anymore.

i have a set that i use just to wheel the bikes around in the garage while im waiting to finish whatever wheels im working on. i did have them on on of my daily rides until i took a sharp corner at speed one day. the front wheel flexed so much that it popped the tire off the bead and stuck in the forks sending me over the bars and in to the asphalt. that was the last time i really rode on them. the good thing was no one saw me bail LOL
