Full Version: Question for you Hutch guys.........

I was offered an NOS looking Hutch Hollywood in Pink last weekend but the forks kind of stumped me. They were certainly Hutch forks by the shape of the arch and the dropouts (not to mention they matched the frame), however, the dropouts seemed to be really beefy in thickness almost like modern street or park forks would be.

I didn't shoot any photos of it (as I was in an attic that was 115 degrees looking at this guy's BMX stash) but I'll try to shoot some pics when I pick it up this weekend. Also picking up his Pro Raider with plenty of NOS parts on it. He says he still has the box for the NOS Hutch Grips that he just put on it.

Anybody know anything about those Hollywood forks?

Hollywood forks were just pro racer forks, so normally not with extra thick dropouts!
The Judge had the thick dropouts!

Hey Ken,

The Hollywood forks were just Pro forks which used the standard 1/8" thick dropouts. The TJ (and perhaps the Trickstar I can't personally speak for the freestyle stuff but I think so) used the 1/4" thick dropouts which consequently were made by welding two 1/8" thick dropouts together. Would it surprise me to see an original pink fork with 1/4" thick dropouts...not really but it is at least suspicious. The frame should have the 1/8" thick dropouts.
