Who is all coming to the Portland event on June 8?

I know not that many people check in on the events section, but Thursday, June 8, 2006 is Portland's screening of Joe Kid On A Stingray at The Bagdad Theater.

There will be an event to raise money for the new Glenhaven skate/BMX park. The Bike Gallery is holding a benefit movie night at the Bagdad Theater on June 8th showing "Joe Kid on a Sting-Ray: The History of BMX". They will have great raffle prizes (including a couple of BMX bikes), a memorabilia display, and new bikes on display before the movie, and other fun stuff.

ALL of the proceeds from the event will go to help build the Glenhaven BMX/Skate park in NE Portland. The BG will not keep one cent. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $25 for VIP Passes (includes reserved seating, a VIP gift, and a raffle ticket). Tickets are available at any Bike Gallery location.

Jody Cagle is bringing the DG California Pro, I'll have a few of my 1970s builds, Danny Garcher is coming, Darrell plans on coming.

The Bagdad Theater is a cool theater in the heart of the Hawthorne District. This whole thing will be pretty mainstream so it should be fun.

I've already plunked down a couple C notes for a bunch of VIP tickets.

Any of you other OR, WA, CA, ID guys coming to this?

I'll be there! Along with Joe Kid, you will see my footage of 102nd street and Beaverton on the big screen with Aerosmith blasting to it!

Don’t forget - There will be a ho-down with grits AND BMX Movies! An added special attraction will be Ken Pliska reenacting the BMX/Break dance scene from RAD! I just hope we get the license rights to that "Send me and angel" song.

Be there or be somewhere else!

The Bagdad is Portland's best theater. I might be there if not too busy.
So, if we bring our bikes, where do we put them? It is a movie theater, after all.
