This is the headset on my second gen. OM Flyer.I'm having problem with my other OM's headset,and I was looking to find out who makes this headset.I know,it's a lousy pic,but it's all I have at the moment,and I'm desperate! Looks ano,and "ribbed" Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe a Tange MX-3. Does the top cup press into the frame or is it inverted and screws onto the fork's steer tube?

and it doesn't need that dirt skirt ---- then again your flyer would sit better with an average steel old regular h/s, like a MX-2 or MX600 or CyclePro or Mongoose --- that techie alloy crap is for when your 101lbs and 13yrs old, 20 something yrs ago --- its blingy, but thats about it

What's the problem with the headset? I have an MX-5 on my OM and I had to mill the cups down before they would fit. I just used a dremel and got it down to where it would fit without flaring the headtube.

It's not this OM I'm having a problem with Tony,it's my chrome one. This one works fine,but when I went to press a Beartrap 2 headset into my other OM,there were only about 4 threads showing,not enough to grab,so I wanted to see what kind this one was to get another.

The dreaded "Stack Height" problem. Too many dimensions on headsets. Stack height usually goes un-noticed until you find it is too tall on installation.

I ran amok with a Campy recently. Too tall, one thread left for the nut.

Sometimes if you are looking for it, you can find the "Stack Height" on the box or in the specs. Rarely though.

Weird thing is Ted,when I got the OM,it was in rough shape,but it did have a headset on it,which worked fine.But from getting stripped down,I lost the pieces,so I ordered the Beartrap2,but won't fit...
