When I was 13-16, I went through race frames like they were going out of style. I'd buy new frames to change colors or simply because something new caught my eye. I remember starting off the year on a GJS and going through four or five frames before the end of that year.

The bike I raced most that year was a Torker Expert. I loved that Torker and it went through several versions in the whopping six or seven months that I rode it. Though I sold off the frame (to a neighborhood kid that has no idea what he did with it) back in 1983, I still have some of the parts from one rendition of that bike and have used them on this build.

Torker Expert Frame and Forks
Mongoose SS Bars
Pro Neck
Ame Grips
Uni Seat
Suntour Seatclamp
Dia Compe MX-900 Brakes
Sugino Super Maxy Cranks
KKT Rat Trap Pedals
Sugino Chainring
ACS Z-Rims
Sunshine Hubs
Cheng Shin C-183 Tires (20x1.75)

A funny note on the build. I had to purchase a complete Torker for $300+ (at the time) just to steal the forks off of it and resell the Complete bike with different forks so I could do this build.

Very Nice Kplisk.

The above statement applies to any future bikes you'll be posting as I now have carpal tunnel syndrome and can no longer move my fingers freely.

I typed this in using just my right index finger.

Ken,

Sweet ride and you have PM concerning my '78 build with the .105 wheels I bought from you.

That one brings back memories. My younger brother raced that exact bike in the early 80's. I remember it being real small for an "expert" frame, really short top tube.
Nice build, Ken. Those tires look enough like Aggressors at a glance to give it that proper look.

Cool Torker. What makes it an expert f/f? I'm still trying to determine what exact year and model Torker frame I have.

Expert vs. Pro frame just denotes a size difference in most cases. No different construction or materials. Pro frames being a little longer in the cockpit.
