OK I just bought a quadangle.
It's not the looptail design but the later model (not alu!).
But I don't know that much about those frames.
So, can anyone tell me from what years they build those quads?
Mine has a Reynolds 531 decal on it. How can you see if it's really a Reynolds frame?
When did they make the reynolds tubing frames?
Was the seattube slot always on the front?
Any info is welcome!
Thanks.

The Reynolds frames where made from late 82 that being Reynold 501 cromoly into 83 from 83 to 85 they where 531 Reynolds Steel. Some say the cromoly's ran later but I am not sure. In the serial # it will give the year. Good Luck with you new project drop me a line if I can help.

your serial is more than likely 01 84 0189 ( instead of 04) which would make it the 189th frame built in January of 1984. With that date it is definately a Reynolds 531 Quad.
yes after a closer look in better light, it's 01 84......great!
