I've got some DuraAce 175's in my toolbox (not on a bike) and yes, they do look like Campys some.

All Dura Ace cranks are marked Dura Ace and if you look in the back they will alaways have a 700 series part #
better late than never... let's see if I can make this link work:

and there are a few more (higher res) in this folder here...

Me too. That's all I ever used on my race bikes. All of them. I could swear I had some blue ones on my Race Inc. There were silver ones on my GT and my JMC. I can't believe more people don't use them. Nobody around here used Campy cranks. We all used Shimanos.

Shimano Dura-Ace cranks are fairly easy to find, whenever I need a set I have them within a month, ebay, roundabout $100 for a nice set.
Stock equipment on 1978 Team Mongoose is what you see there.

If anyone has a spare crank arm, give me a holler. I have a mismatched set of crank arms.

I always loved the DA one key release on them. A lot of people tossed them. I generally wont buy them without them.
Nice cranks. I have a few sets.
I will tell this story in a "Score" thread again someday.
This is where I found one of my sets! ready for the trash, ...one delux exercise bike.....

Look again.....Yes.....it's true....Complete with a genuine Edco Swiss BB. Installed once, removed once......

But the whole story will have to keep for now...

Hmmm......because you just might need to change chainwheels on your excersize bike if the pedaling get's too hard.
That's funny - I'm all ears for a good "score" story that has to do with that gem.

Wow that was a score Ted, love to hear the story your hinting at...?
Here is a page from the '82 catalogue swiped from Sheldon Browns
history of Dura Ace page. a fantastic website for any cyclist btw.
I could never bring myself to chop up a dura-ace crankset but when love nor money couldn't get me a set of 135mm 3 piece cranks in a hurry for my 4yo short-ar$ed son's micro-mini my father found this for me, an early Shimano 600 crank that I chopped up and retapped for 1/2" pedals. (non-drive crank had a sloppy square drive hence an odd supermaxy found a home)
>is that the original chainwheel that came wth them?
nope .. that's long gone. I bought 'em new back in the day -- they were red -- and I de-anodized 'em a couple years later with oven cleaner. They need some polishing now, though.
Chainrings are to be had on the 'bay for four or five bucks when you can find 'em. I have several.
>I always loved the DA one key release on them. A lot of people tossed them.
I still have one of 'em, but I use it as a crank puller on my son's mini (doteks). Anyone got another?
