Here is my Patterson long. I am thinking of buying some skyway tuffs Black or White. I have new school redline flight cranks I am putting on this weekend. The pads are nos Patterson. CW pro bars.

Gotta love old Patterson's!

I'd stick with the old school one-piece cranks mate - cool!
JohnnyRingo
Sweeeeeet! but I'm with Andy, stay with the one-peice.

Sorry Joe cool , he just acquired this ride , I was initally offered this bike , but I had already got my F/F/ from Darren Chan so the seller put this on ebay about a couple of months ago , but didn't meet the reserve so seller relisted W/ no reserve . I think that bike will look cool W/ the new Flights ! I can't wait for my Graphite inserts to arrive so I can take a couple of pics of my ride .

ditto on the wrong era decals. Needs block letters on clear or orange patterson logo on clear.
alaskanbmxer
Sorry guys for the decals but that what came with bike if you look on the vintage bmx list of bikes a 1982 Patterson long has the same decals and the same pads. Anyway I was planning on changing them with the correct decals. Jeff (a vintage bmx member) sent me the right decals. I put them on tonight I will post a pic. Does anybody out there know what the sn# of the patterson the one on this is 03108?
alaskanbmxer
The Pads look great on the bike Not many NOS Pads are still around and in great shape.

TECHNICALLY THE "NEWER " logo is correct as well . Patterson was putting the newer style F/F stickers on the last year of the low profile frames before they were replaced by the PR series frames . I personally had BOTH SYTLES on 2 different low profiles . My first one had the Western style , when that got stolen , a few months later I ordered another low profile (long) directly from Hank & Frank (I still have the box) & this one had the newer sticker set , I was a little bothered as I personally liked the western style better .
alaskanbmxer
Thats right last long frames had the PR style decals I like the decals with the clear back ground my self.
AndyDiamond
Yes - Avalanc fan is correct.

Those new logo decals were transitional in late 1982 on Patterson stuff.

This is my patterson long from 1982. I purchased this from the original owner as a F/F/SP. Stickers are original with damage due to the bike being raced bitd. I have restored this baby with nos parts. Hopefully I'll be completed within the next few weeks. Serial No 03081.

I have a 1980 or 1981 Patterson Long.
I just had it Show Chromed.
Serial Number is P0733.
Does any one know how I could narrow down the Year?
I raced this bike until 1985 then It sat in an old shed until
last month.
I'm restoring it to exactly how I had it, but better !!!
It was Nickel and had the Orange Western font.
I will take a picture of it soon and post it.
Does anyone know how to get stickers?
It looks so awesome Chrome I almost don't want
any thing on there, But it's nice to have the frame
easily recognizable too. My Forks Bars and Seatpost are getting
Show Chromed Now. The Bike is going to be awesome.

Man that UNI plate looks sweet . I raced W/ one BITD , It seems like you can't mention Uni without mentioning Patterson in the same conversation . Nice bike bennyg !
bennyg
Hey avalanchefan if you want a new nos uni plate go to alansbmx.com, he has expert size only like the one on my bike. No pro size available. They sell for around $22 US, beats paying ebay prices. When I think of uni I think of patterson straight away. Thanks for the comments on my bike. Cheers.
