No Buff expert ,so the pros can correct me if Im wrong, but heres what I think, I thought, I know...
Buff was part of the original BMX action trick team in the early 80s along w/ RL Osbourne and Bob Haro.
Buff was known to ride a pimped out PK looptail w/ his signature Z-rims.
I think he was then p/u buy Hutch (around 83-84) were he stayed for a couple of years...then idunno

SO what I never Herd of the Guy,Anyway the point is I was riding My Mt.Bike past a McDonalds today when a Bike caught my eye.I rode over for a closer look it was a Nice PK Looptail Brushed aluminum.Unstamped landing gear blue suntour stem,Se wing bars Z rims with (Mike Buff ) signed on them,,and brand new Profile cranks...I saw a few young kids on the swings they had to be 12 or 13,I asked if it was theres one said it was his,,So I figured I would give it a shot to see if he knew what he had..you want to sell it I said..I will give you $60.00 bucks right now he said no How about..
100.00 he said no I went as high as 500.00 he said it had sentimental value..Turns out his Uncle Passed away and it was his bike..I thought that was cool..So I starred at it for a few more minutes..The Kid was real Proud of it...anyway it was a real nice bike..........

Spicoli, Are you sure it was not the guy that jumped his bike off of every house and Bike shop in California? Freestyle Pioneer Legend And the second longest BMXA Freestyle Team member to wear the red white blue. The terms "Buff the Fluff" and "Buffomatic" come to mind. Oh I think he maybe one in the same. And he is a member here!

Good thing, he'll need it if he reads this!
That's reminds me, every time I buy a set of pads some guy "Perry Kramer" has scribbled on them? Anybody heard of him? Is he some kind of a sadistic comedian messing with everyone's pads?
