My parents somehow ended up with this all chrome Redline back in 1992..before I was old enough to ride a bike and has been in storage until today when I decided to get it out to clean it up and possibly restore it.
I've been searching the archives here trying to find out exactly what kind of Redline this is, to no avail.
It has Redline stamped inside an oval and the serial number just above that, on the bottom of the bike. The serial is 85040154. Does the 85 mean this is a 1985?
The head tube measurement is 4" and the TT measurement is 18" or 18.5", iirc.
Here are some pics..tell me what year/model you think it could be.
Thanks in advance!

the can of PB blaster in the upper right hand corner of the shelf appears to be a 2004 model, just before the label change in late '04

the "85" indeed makes it built in 1985 ( in taiwan) , so it could be either a 1985 or 1986 model. since it doesn't say "tri-moly" near the serial number, it is probably a full CRMO frame. if so, it was originally built as the "600c" model bike, or could have been just a F/F set calleda "series 3" at the time.

Thanks for the replies everyone... I was just trying to get an idea of what time period it came from so I know what to buy for it if I decide to fix it up.
