Ah yes;The sacrifices we must make in order to be "bitd-correct".
Those are my Campagnolo track cranks (skinny steel, 170mm) the ring is a 50 with a 22 rear. I call them Mclaren Park gears. Also would have been good for Merrit College! It rides good though, but, damn it is short. I've been practicing "coaster wheelies" down the driveway.

What doublemount gooseneck is that? Nice redline!

Killer!!! Yeah, what kind of stem is it?
QuicksilverBMX
Early Redline stem??

I wish I could remember the gearing I ran at Merritt, I think a 44 or a 46 and either a 16 or 17 rear, sorry, didn't meant to highjack

I wish I had an early Redline stem. That stem is borrowed from a Mongoose I have. I say "borrowed" because the Mongoose is no nice and so original (seat, grips, even the tires i think) that it would be shame to disassemble it. So I am borrowing the stem for a while, until I stop finding cool Jeeps and other cars on Craigslist for less than a Redline stem goes for on ebay.
As far as gearing goes, I specifically remember 39-13 with "diamond" cranks from a Varsity at McLaren park. The early 3 pice adapters for the US BB were junk, so you had to use one piece cranks to race. Remember that?
