Do you bros put decals after the frame gets fresh paint or wait untill you get all components on and make it the last thing you do before you take the test ride?
Astrodamus
I usually put decals on after I've got the headset and bottom bracket installed, which necessarily means that the fork and cranks will also be installed, this way I don't have to mess with any more lube and I can go wash my hands real good and then put the decals on without any worries..
TEAMRICK aka RICK TWOMEY
i don't think there is a right or wrong way persay. ie: do you assemble your bikes on a work stand that is stable? or do you assemble on a work bench? whatever works for you.
astro is 100% correct. it must be clean and stay clean.

only my 2 cents

good luck rick

Thanks Rick! I do all my builds on the carpet in the middle of the living room. Sometime I will even stage parts on the kitchen counter. ( that's if I can have stuff cleaned up before the boss gets home!) I'm afraid that with my vision and how clumsy I am ,I will drop something on the garage floor and mess it up. It's already happened to a white redline fork that was powdered and now has a chunk of paint missing! When I mess with the grease I bring in a cardboard box and do everything on top and in the A/C. I also blast some Zep or Hendrix and drink a cold beer . This does wonders for me since I get that Phil's grease everywhere and I freak knowing she is going to walk thru that door and turn into the monster that comes around once a month! The beer calms me down and I am able to clean and put everything back as was. This is what my world has now become because of VBMX!
