Can anyone give me some detail's and picture's of the Rx11 raleigh BMX (early 80"s). Picking one up on the weekend, the owner dos'nt know a lot about it. It has the R in the gusset and the fork's, araya rim's. Any info would be great.

I know about rampar R11XL as they are called in the states but not much about the raleigh products

Hi mate, Raleigh and Rampar R11's are the same except for the headtube badge and stickers (I have Rampar stickers on my R11 and a Raleigh headtube badge!) The R11 was a looptail with "R" gusset nad the R11xl had same gussett but was slightly longer and had four piece rear/ I send you some scans of the catalogue from 1980 when I get a chance (PM me if I forget)

Oh I forgot, the R11 I have is made from Reynolds 531 tubing (mangaloy/mang moly). Stay away from the "R" gussett frames with Crappy chewing gum welds that are around - they are tiawanese mild steel cr@p!.
