I remember they had the ad with the guy laying on his back like he was flying through the air. The bike had twin top tubes like a Torker. Anyone?
TONE
yup.......that was actually greg grubs in that ad.

side note*
they shot the ad by having greg lay on his back with the photographer above him.

jay stark built a hyper a couple of years ago. it was awesome.
Hup
One of these?

The Greg Grubbs & Tim kakouris mobile!

Wow! I want one of those. Anyone know where one is available?

Tim Kakouris never rode for Hyper. Dave "Spanky" Cambell was their other rider besides Grubbs. Kakouris rode for a company called "Freshour" that made frames with simalar uniforms(he also rode for Vector after that). I used to kid him it sounded like he rode for a feminine deoderate spray...........LOL.

yes, what's your point

Quick Hyper story for ya.

My riding buddy BITD had one of these. His dad was a doctor so he got pretty much anything he wanted. So one Saturday at Falcon BMX in Meriden he asked me if I wanted to race his Hyper. So being up for the challenge I accepted. I think he was riding a Robinson at the time. Well the Hyper has Tuff's on it. It was more or less his "freestyle" bike. Go up to the line and BAMM!!! Get the snap, jumped the serps, and smoked everybody. His dad was ****ED!! It was the last time I rode that bike. The look on there faces was great. I guess there thinking was: heavy "freestyle" bike= slower race for me. BACKFIRE!

Someone needs to post a pic of Jay Stark's Hyper.

I have it saved on my home computer. If I can remember, I will post it tonight.
