Here are some shots of my black Hutch Pro Star replica. Yeah, I know Hutch never made a black Pro Star, but I have corrected that oversight!
I call it the Hutch Death Star.

Here's the parts spec:

Hutch Pro F/F (no serial #)
(forks are drilled for brakes)
(repowdered black - it was an
original black f/f)
Hutch Pro bars (rechromed)
Hutch mag/ti hubs
repro Hutch deep H stem
repro Hutch 2n1
Uni Pro Seat/post combo (NOS)
Hutch round seatclamp (NOS)
Tange MX 125 LP headset (NOS)
Hutch Pro pedals (NOS)
Hutch grips
Dia Compe MX 900 brakes & Tech 3 lever (NOS)
Panaracer Knarler Knobbies 20x1.75 (NOS)
ACS Z-rims (NOS)
Profile 2nd gen cranks / bb and spider 175mm
Izumi nickel plate chain (NOS)
2nd gen Mathauser brake shoes
Hutch number plate (NOS)
Hutch repro chrome padset
Steve Veltman Radkaps (NOS)
ACS freewheel (newschool) 2b replaced w/ Suntour
FST chainwheel (newschool) 2b replacd w/ Proneck

I am so glad the bike is nearly done (freewheel and chainwheel are all I need!!) I also have a friend who is a machinist making bar ends with the Hutch "H" to replace the blown ends of the grips. If anyone else is interested in these, let me know.

It has been a 20 year wait and a two year labor of love to build this bike. I want to thank everyone on the boards that has helped with parts and stickers [special shout out to Chris Baron and Lee (1niceharo) for going above and beyond creating the Pro Star sticker and the Tru Temper sticker that you cannot see in the photos - it's on the bottom of the B/B shell)

Everyone please let me know what you think and before anyone slams me, I will be replacing the repro stem and stem lock as soon as I find suitable replacements.

Later,
Brandon

Hutch did make one black pro star. It was a contest give away bike. I spoke to the guy who won it about 5 years ago. It was stolen when he rode it to his local bowling alley. He knew they guy's who took it but he could never prove it and the bike has never turned up. He remembered unreal details about the bike and it was great to talk to him about it. He was going to try and find me some pictures of the bike. He even remembered the small details when the bike was delivered to him. Your bike looks great, I love it !

WOW thats a sweet hutchie.. very nice
sk8bones
Nice goin'! Looks light for a Pro. What's it weigh?
bwl007
I haven't had it on a really accurate set of scales, but the analog bathroom scales at home come in at about 20.5 to 21 lbs. It is very light for a pro size bike!
Bedlam Bikes
I love the black... much more original looking than chrome. It's nice to see something different.
