Beau..
you could provide VBMX with endless entertainment if you'd post up a list of the "bros" who emailed you with solicitations to purchase after the auction ended. as you pointed out, the roaches all ran back under the refrigerator after the ktichen light got turned on.
personally i think those guys are bigger cornholes than you will ever be. you simply took their advice/admonitions.
the double standard for ethical behavior is glaring, as Elvis pointed out.

Gee, I hope there are enogh life jackets to go around!!!! A list certainly would be quite telling. It'd be good to know who is of questionable character, so I know who I may need to protect myself from in a potential deal.
Moderators If you choose to lock or delete this post pleaase at the very least allow the list to be posted in a locked topic!!! Pleeeeeeaaassee!!!!!

You know, that's the part that bothered me most out of this whole saga, that vintage members tried to offer more $$$ after it sold to the original buyer. Shameful business, and according to Beau, there were several of them.
But of course, as Beau also mentioned, they all seemed to disappear once the other thread started...

Probably didn't really need a whole new thread but...
The power of mass has worked in this case.
The way I saw it was when he listed it he was thinking cool. That will work. If I get that I am cool. He got that and then all the jealous people came out of their holes. That list would be classic. Probably not too suprising but classic for sure. Those are the clowns really to blame here. If they hadn't started feeding all they did then this never would have happened. Cold sweats anyone?
Too funny also to think that this frame was more than likely bought just to turn it. I didn't even think of that angle.
So yeah cheers to this world of people that made the right thing happen.

Beau, The List is needed!
When I first saw the thread on the Quad, I thought that was so cool that someone could still score a great VBMX deal on ebay. You were a hero in my book at that point Beau for offering such a great deal even if you didn't know it at the time. Then when I went back to the thread today and saw everything the went down after the deal, you became Scum! too bad! and with it surfaced the Scum of VBMX. It's time to clean the Scum off VBMX collecting and by posting the List Beau you can help clean off the some of the scum from both you and VBMX Collecting.
Well, let's get er' started kiddies. Bring the noise TIM.
Pat, nice to see ya over these here parts brutha...
Hell, Have your wife start the list, you always mention she's the instigator of the bunch ;P

The Quadangle went to a collector (original winner) who owns over 20 SE's and that's all that matters.
yeah, we all know who the original winner was. that aint no secret.
Yes, let the accused be named. We will brand them with a candy-apple red V, throw them in the cafe and if they drown then we will know of their innocence. If not they drown, then miscreants must they be!

....I will give you 10 frogskins for the list........
I'd just like to point out, that if a name gets dropped in conjunction with this and it's not true, someone’s good reputation will be crapped out.
I'll start the BS myself. Big DogX sold me a re-powdered shadow when I was a noob. I bought it off eBay from him. I believed that he was a strait shooter because of this place and his reputation here. It had no integrated seatpost clamp and was alleged to have been one off. This I later confirmed to be not true via Jim Melton. but back then I was too afraid of the "Big Dogs" and their clique to say anything.
I’ll throw out his name for $15.
If you remember who you are, $25 will keep your name to myself.

Ha ha DMG, something like this happened before with a newb coming in selling a pair of se cruiser bars and landing gears for $15. When the crap hit the fan (newbie alerted to the value) and he decided to take it to Ebay for a 'best man wins' kind of deal, you had 2 sides: One side was looking out for newbies best interest and the other was the 'a deals a deal' group. My neutral stand was that what if this guy was going to be a longtime fixture here on VBMX? He'd certainly figure out what his stuff was worth and may hold a bitter opinion of the experienced buyer. As time goes on and you know even more and see whats what and who is who, you may even get more bitter about how you trusted someone and they bent you over like a prom date. I thought this place was a brotherhood way back when I joined, but quickly realized it is very cut-throat with grown men acting like 5 year olds trying to cop a hotwheel from their friends stash. There has been a TON of diabolical deeds done in this very arena, let alone the Ebay crap. It doesn't suprise me one bit how this played out. Beau was selling for a price he was OK with, buyer snapped it up at early thirty in the a.m., and the REAL pondscum came calling on Beau to try and reverse the deal. Call Beau what you want, heck even the toughies are trying to pile on and threaten him with a beating (LMFAO), but Beau was enticed by dollar signs placed in front of him by the real slim shady. Name names....what the heck. Thats who should really be taking it up the shooter. Maybe you tough guys will come forth and threaten them with a beating as well. I think Beau handled it well, good on you for not 'disappearing' or resorting to name calling and sissy-like girl screaming.

Stuff like this reminds me why I stay away from collecting. I won a 75% complete Proline with 401's on eBay about a year ago. After the auction ended, I was told he could not sell the item to me because he mis-listed it..... Sounds like the same thing happened here, almost.

Hey Beau,
Since the motive for you to relist the frameset was to gather more money for your bike charity, I'll donate $20 via PayPal direct (in your name) if you print the list in this thread.
Think about the following:
- Did your deal for the frameset.
- You openly expressed your opinion and motive
- After getting blasted, you stuck by your guns
The way I see it, you're in a win/win situation. "We" are looking for the snakes and for you to list their names, you MAKE more money on it! See, you hold the power because we can gather more money for the list or the snakes have to "pay you off" to exclude their names. If they don't want to anty up, oh well, you still get paid.
Since it all comes down to dollars, why not make your wallet fatter? Time for you to get paid..............again! And yes, this internet thrill is worth my $20 + Welsh' $10. Let's do this!

Nice Tom!
Beau, we now have $40 on the table. Tim & Doug as well as the rest of you big collectors, can we get some of your muscle into this pot of gold?
The guys who collect, it's worth pooling in the money to get this list. It's our money these snakes continue to run up and they think it's funny.
i'll toss a tenner into the kettle for Beau's list. hershey squirts should be starting any time now amongst some of the fellas.

Oh that could get good!
On 9th February, 1950, McCarthy made a speech in Salt Lake City where he attacked Dean Acheson, the Secretary of State, as "a pompous diplomat in striped pants". He claimed that he had a list of 57 people in the State Department that were known to be members of the American Communist Party. McCarthy went on to argue that some of these people were passing secret information to the Soviet Union. He added: "The reason why we find ourselves in a position of impotency is not because the enemy has sent men to invade our shores, but rather because of the traitorous actions of those who have had all the benefits that the wealthiest nation on earth has had to offer - the finest homes, the finest college educations, and the finest jobs in Government we can give."
