Beau, I'll throw another $ 10.00 spot in your pay-pal account. And give you a 04 team quad to boot.
Does that sweeten the pot for you? Let me know asap.

Good , I can keep my 04 team quad and the ten bucks. Plus, I really did'nt want to see my quad on e-bay. Or used to dash another bidders dreams.
So, I recant my offer of the quad . Sorry bud, maybe next year.

So who is going to jump on this when this guy sells it at a BIN for $500.00 and doubles his money. Still a great deal. This whole ordeal is so messed up, I wouldn't be surpised to see it pop up on evilbay.

That way I can tell my friends how close I was to having David Clintons bike....David Clintons bike was in the palm of my hands man but the dude changed his mind!....that would be such a cool story.......ya.......uh huh.......

Asking for the names, for two reasons, 1. to make it public that my lack of response to these threads didn't mean guilt, 2. this can't be left open, period. I'll add another $10.00
Just hoping someone who we all thought was "cool" isn't on the list.

Doesn't this crap ever get old to any of you? If the frame does pop up on evilbay, I'll buy it and sell the video of me running it over with my truck on evilbay. Then the ranting can really begin.

Oh, and what's really funny... I wouldn't have thought that frame was worth much more than the $250 BIN (and it's not to me). Show's what a dope I am huh?
Maybe instead of having that sticky post about "How much is my bike worth?" at the top of the forum list, we should just let the self appointed VBMX jury decide for us. Or we could even have one for "How much should this guy sell me HIS bike for?" just to cover both cheeks.

gts340- I figured it would have been done long ago.
The bike went to a collector so nobody will have to worry about it getting resold for a while.
I'll give you one of the people since it seems to be such a big deal. Remember, I was not pointed to this site. I just started getting so many emails afte rthe auction ended, and I KNEW there had to be a post somewhere about it, so naturally I came here and found it. The person that started the thread happened to be the first guy that made an offer.
As I stated before, I'd rather make friends, not enemies. Most of you seem to go the other route and that's fine. I wouldn't want to be associated with the childish behavior many of you display.
Now go have your worthless fun tearing that guy apart.
I know who I am, and what I stand for. Have fun.

And Im thinking these were serious collectors who needed this rare piece...
And yes its wrong, but can you blame a guy for trying ?

Smokin Endo,
Not only the kind of jerk that would post a link to an ebay deal on V before it could be closed, but also the kind of jerk that would try to weasel a side deal and screw someone else out of their "score of a lifetime"

When I saw the other thread, I pointed out to my girlfriend that I was going to be on the computer that evening (late) and could have very well been there for the deal. On the same breath, I also said, "I wonder how many people wrote the guy blasting him for how much he could have gotten". I didn't know what transpired until I saw Tims post and everything that happened. I KNEW something like that would happen. I scored a looptail floval complete a number of years back when the term 'BMX' brought back only 300-350 items on ebay. I got it for $125 BIN. Even then, I was jonesing about it and was afraid the deal wouldn't go through because of an overzealous collector. Well, the guy did get several e-mails alerting him to the value of his old bike, including offers. He wrote to me telling me about it and just said, "sounds like you got a deal. Oh well, I got more than I thought I could for it, I'm happy". But, yeah, more than a few people tried the same crap , even back then. I don't even look at what I might have missed on evilbay with completed auctions like some of you do, whats the point? WHy torture yourself?

Sorry to ramble, but pretty much the same thing happened to TnJsdad, with the potential score of unimaginable treasures. Even with him trying to spread the wealth, people tried to swoop the score out from under him causing the deal to fall.
(ed. note: I'm aware of all the controversy surrounding it and the chitstorm that followed with many not believing he ever had the deal secured at all) Point is, I said aloud then that more than a few guys HERE would cut their grandma's throat to get that deal, let alone try and weasel it away from a bmx 'brotha'. If I have a score or a potential score, I'm quiet about it until its in my hands. If you got a deal, I'm not going to spoil it for you

I recently had some punk kid weazel out of a deal that I thought I was getting on a black Gibson Les Paul Standard on eschmae'. I was getting an insane deal on this guitar but I guess it's my bad for thinking it would actually go down....anyway, I had a lot of fun messing with his punk A$s after he backed out on the deal but I'm sure he was laughing more than I was.....i could go on a long time about what ended up going down but it's not really important....

Beau,
We have about $170 for your taking, no questions asked, for the complete list. We want all the names and remember, we're putting our money on the table. If people are emailing to sugarcoat their reasons why they tried to undercut the winning bidder, tell them it will cost them $100 a piece to silence you.
Think about it, you can get.....oh let's just say $500 (5 people) OR if they're cheap and punking you because they know you don't have the balls to OUT them, take our money off the table. You're in the driver's seat now and you have nothing to lose. Win/Win......$/$
Are you telling us Smoking Endo/Newguy was the first guy to try and buy it under the sneak after the auction closed? I kindly ask you to be specific, please.
Get paid Beau, the money is on the table!

Hey just real quick Newguy emailed the seller and offered to buy it if the original buyer backed out. It was not a high dollar bid either. He did not say hey I will give you X amount if you sell it to me instead. That is a little different than offering to buy if the deal falls through. Just my two cents. Continue slamming if the need is felt.
Newguy/Slammin Endo will always be on my bro list.
