So, i'm in the process of collecting the last few parts to complete the bike I had as a kid (more or less).

1. Sugino 1pc 175mm cranks w/ Chrome spider
2. Dia Compe 880 or 900 rear caliper & cable
3. Tioga Bottom Bracket
4. Comp III type tires & tubes (Cheng Shin maybe?)
5. Blue anodized Sting seatpost clamp (like Suntour)
6. MKS Blue pedals (KKT Lightning knockoffs)
7. Blue Cal Lite Top Tube pad

Once I have all those collected hopefully within the next couple of weeks my bike will be road ready.

Here are most of the parts I have, laid out:

Here it is roughly put together for a mock up:

I should have a seatpost and an Animal blue anodized clamp that fits on Monday. The rest of the stuff is still in the works. The search continues.

Theres some pitting scratches and minor dings in the bike that I could have fixed but this will be a rider and not a show bike so I can live with it for a while. I may have the bars and forks rechromed at some point, but that's not on the radar yet.

Thanks for looking,

Mike

Kilo,

The bars are Powerlite Pro courtesy of oldschoolPK. It's tough to see the power bend in them on the mock-up pic.

Here's the handlebar by itself.

Thanks again for the frame.

Thanks guys, once I got the wheels I had to have a peek at how it'll really look. For a while it was just a concept based on twenty year old memories.

Jimbo420, I'll send you an e-mail.

I just spent a couple of hours this afternoon getting the brake residue off the tuffs. I took a regular folding knife, sharpened it and scraped vigorously and it came right off. It didn't cut into the nylon at all.

I'm just having an issue with trying to get the axles off the tuff's to clean them. I got the front axles off OK. I just have to keep track of the washers and especially the ball bearings. I can't quite figure out the rear axle with the freewheel. I started to take it apart and didn't feel comfortable with how it was going. I'll leave it until I can consult with someone who knows what they're doing.
