I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it...

I have a '81 GT, amoung others, with the small diameter down tube.

Can someone give me a timeline? I see the chromo 4130 version and then also the Santa Ana version.

Which ones do I need for my '81?

Thanks.

The chromo version is a unauthorized repop that was done by Stick EM Up and has managed to proliferate in the hobby.

This decal was never used by GT.

Thanks Randy.

...and Bill for the "good to know" info.

actually, GT did use the "4130" decals, but only on some framesets...not complete bikes. circa '84-86. besides the combo pictured, we also sold pink/purple/electric blue, etc... race frames that still used the classic blue "santa ana" circle head/seattube decal with the "4130" downtube decal.

Another good reason to post one of my favorites.. ...I need to get a more up to date pic. Mine is an 86 Pro f/fork set NOS with the 4130 decals. Bike is actually more blue than my pic looks...

I have an October 83' build with 4130 GT decals on the fork and larger 4130 downtube decal. The Handlebars have the common Santa Anna GT decal with medallion. I guess they made the change between 83' and 84'. Stick em up decals have a different font (check out the B in BMX) and the color is a little off.
