Just saved my Redline 600a from the scrap metal pile, My old man was cleaning out his barn and found the remains of what used to be my pride and joy. My younger brother raped it for parts 20 years ago, any ideas as to where I can find true NOS parts other than EBAY? anyone? Help!

You are looking for the same thing as everyone else. I highly doubt anyone will give any sources out. Good luck.

Post what you need in the want ad section. Also watch the for sale section.

There are a few internet sites that have old school parts. Alansbmx.com, vert-ego.com, Ginny's old School bmx, AJKbikes.com and a few others.

Does the 600a have the little gusset behind the seat post and in-between the two seat stays? And the brake bridge is a little flat in the middle? I have a frame like that, serial is R? 833?? , cant make out the ? letters due to rust. Think it might be a 600a or something in series three. Any help at all is appreciated.

Yes the 600a has the gusset behind the seatpost mast. 102b also does (same frame though).
Elliot
Gee thanks! Guess I know that it's a 600a frame from i think '83... say do you know if the end caps are missing on the forks or were they sold like that in those days?
madturk
Yes you are missing the endcaps.
Elliot
All right then, thanks for the tips. '83 600a it is, with missing end caps. Now on with the resto...
