My room mate has a Robinson SST. I don't have alot of info about besides visuals. Its 4130 cromo. Its a Candy Apple red. It does not have caliper brakes. Just wondering about what year it is. There seems to be a leap in info. I see the early ones and the mid 90's ones and not much in between.
Thanks

I have a 96 SST complete Robinson. Nice long frame. It basically a GT w/ all GT parts. The bars I especially love and there super wide and have zero bow back unfortunately the cross bar is low and looks new school ish.... Yours sounds early 90's and maybe late 80's... Not sure the exact year GT bought Robinson... Look in the museum and I have my SST posted there... Nice bike, but it doesn't handle like the 81-83 GT's....but then again, nothing does.. LOL

I just picked one up today too. " threaded w/ caliper brakes. Candy blue w/ chrome forks. Dyno stem, GT cranks, seat, tires etc. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet. Anybody interested?

Here is the one I picked up.

I am guessing mid to late 80's. Has caliper brakes & 1" threaded forks.

Hard to tell.. Is that a 1" headtube?
Those dropouts look like my 95 SST, but the rest appears late 80's early 90's... Looks like a smaller seat post tube too.. It is a GT seat so most likely a 89-92ish... I'm guessing

There must be a serial on the bottom of the B/B

serial # should be on the inside of the non drive side rear dropout.

I will check it tomorrow & see. Definately a 1" threaded fork. It is for sale or trade.

I didn't think they made SST's in the 80's.

My Buddies looks just like that blue one except no calipers. I'll get a pick after we move.

I think the "5" in 10530135 means build year 1995, I'm sure i read that somewhere on vintage but i can't find the orig post now...

Its the same as mine a '90-91. The second pic looks like a later aluminium job.
