Recently realized I don't have a GT in the stable, so I took this beat up old frame I had and Johnny Johnson had it repowdered. At the same time, I had a Boss fork done in black for another bike. When i saw them together I had an idea of putting together a bike with a bunch of leftover parts I have lying around. Sooo....
Not exactly killer but definitely under $200 or so

i love how in Cali, some people put chain link fences in their front yards...you never see that here. But I remember that from my childhood growing up there....
Sweet looking build too...i love yellow and black together

Cool lookin build Reilley. Does this mean you are graduating from the 70's to the 80's now? J/K..
Those spokes really set off the wheels. I like it, and I'm not the biggest GT fan. Especially after breaking my buddies. Funny, I just realized I never paid him for it like I said I would. I wonder if he remembers that?

Nice Rick, was it always yellow or did you just pick the color?
I'm a fan of the GT colors red / yellow / blue / black.. and didnt they have a black chrome too?

Yes, yesterday even.
Thanks for the comments. Being a bottom feeder, I build all my wheels. That saves me some money so I go looking for another bargain basement bike. The frame was "chrome" originally. Or what was left of the chrome pitted relic. I always liked the yellow GTs.
I also realized that I also never had a GT when I was a kid.
But next build will probably be back to the 70s
