Reilley!

The History of Freestyle is cool, but how about something NEW on there? How about giving one of the members of the community the opportunity to pen the Front page that everyone (most importantly - new visitors) sees?

Obviously, it would have to go through the triple check of the S1W's:

Rick = Content and Accuracy
Hal = Market-testing it with the 'gun' & 'thong' crowd.
Bill = The final Golden Handshake

I think it would be sweet as he|| to check out a new front page (perhaps monthly) done by a selected VBMX member.

Anyone second my Reilley nomination?

EDIT: spelling. (more edits to follow as I notice more errors)

How about the history of VBMX and Rockford? Less then a 100 days away!

We offered this exact thing up on here a while ago. Do you really want to know how many participants we received?

Zero, zip, zilch, nada. But the offer still stands. It has to be related to Vintagebmx and of the same moral standards.
Keep_It_Warm
Sweet! I didn't realize that Hal.
SLAYER
Holy cow Hal. have you been practicing your gun slinging! I don't remember you doing that with the gun!
Oz
Hey, hey, hey...

Hal, dude...What is the HISTORY OF FREESTYLE...the literary version of the Imaculate Conception? A bunch of us stepped up.

I'm just kidding. I know what you mean.

Oz, don't you think that Reilley putting pen to paper would be cool?
bmxmom
reilley knows how to work a pen?
Randy
have him write the history of the MX-II
TIM
Elvis' heartwrenching docu-drama "A Lonely Liberal in Red State Arkansas"...

with parts written for Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Sheen (as himself), Barbara Streisand (as Babs the barkeep), George Clooney (as Elvis)...
Keep_It_Warm
"Let's face facts...he's no George Clooney"
-paraphrasing Adam Sandler as Little Nicki

Maybe Reilley could write Memoirs of a Bottomfeeder.

It doesn't HAVE to be Reilley....TIM? Randy? Dani? Elvis? All four are awesome selections as well.

Keep-It-Warm...

I agree. Another story from Reilley would be cool. Reilley writes directly from the heart.
TIM
TIM. shuuuuuuuuure..............

that'd go over just dandy.

LOL!
Randy

LOL @ Oz...Of course I wasnt talking about the besr scribe iin the world when I wrote that. The offer to pen an intro was on the table for quite sometime prior to the beautiful effort provided by the one and only Oz. Cash Matthews, and the famous JB put together a couple too.

I was just trying to shame some other folks into participating a bit more. I know there are some others out there that are more than quailfied to scribble a coouple words down.

Lets see what you got, If you can unseat the best (oz) I'll tip my cap to you and put you on the front page....Bring it!
TIM
rotate JB's, Cash's and OZ's monthly. JB's and Cash's were terrific too and i bet lots have never read them.
jeff35x
i agree... JB's stuff had such a tongue in cheek writing style... it kept this hobby/sport from getting too serious and placed it where it belongs...

I already had the honor of being on the Home page, but I truly appreciate the hmm..nomination?

I suppose I can always write "The History of Yaks and their impact on BMX."
Hal
Of course you are talking about the "Yak" events that occured sometime around 3:30am-5:00am on saturday nights at most of the major races back in the 80's. Heck, I know I participated in some of the greatest "Yak" sessions throughout Maryland and New Jersey......Poor hotel housekeepers......
