Chrome Powerlite serial number is on the brake bracket....0949. Head tube has the chrome and white checkered decal and says Pro.

Come anyone tell me what year this is. It looks like the same frame I raced in '83-'84.

I was looking at that one also. Not to sure about the ser. # thou. Mine reads 84962. Also there is the gusset on the down tube. Mine is a pro but it does not have that gusset. I dont remember Powerlites haveing that. I could be wrong thou.

I was thinking that also....but I can't remember either...LOL. I remember my head lube decal being a rectangle the length of the tube.
It might not be a Powerlite then?

That square decal is the 2nd generation style, 79/81ish, the round came after that 1983+, earlier Powerlite decals had the Pedalpower logo on them.

Was this a recent auction? Are there more frame photos?

Someone else will have to confirm if thats a Powerlite, the dropouts and forks sure look like it though.

I have been compairing this F&F to mine. The only thing that does not jive is that gusset. The rear drop outs, head tube and the fork dropouts look good. Maybee someone else can expand.

Looks like a Powerlite Pro 20" frame to me. I had several of them in 1982-'83. Great geometry for the time era. The downtube would always break after about 3 months of racing. The decals make it look like this frame may be a little newer than that??
