does anybody remember the original fabricator of Boss frames??? Well the legend himself is at my house at this moment. He came down for a pool tournament in Reno. Pretty good too, but he cant beat the master... Can anybody name him.

Damn I had Carlo at first and then changed it! I was I nobody back in the day(still am)...just rode all the trails. Maywood, Red Devil, Cali..etc. Dean Townsend. I ride the sh*t out of my bike though. At one point I was riding everything he (Carlo) made and was starting to break his crank arms and cracking frames. They weren't designed for that kind of abuse. Anyway, I used to go out to Moffet with friends that raced and saw Carlo out there and showed him what I was doing to his stuff. He told me "Wow, maybe you should test ride some of my product." That's the closest I ever came to being a factory rider! Man, he probably doesn't even remember that! But it was a big deal to me.

Hey Carlo!

That's cool that he can remember that! Must of been like 84ish or so. Yeah I brought one frame up to him a couple of times for mods. One time a couple friends went up there and he tells us to go to lunch and it would done when you get back. Sure enough it was and better than ever! He had some serious welding skills. Good luck to both of you tomorrow.

Hi Frank,

Did Carlo build frames for Patterson racing?

Jack
Frank Post
US BAR TABLE CHAMPIONSHIPS, Carlo playing scotch doubles.Im playing 9ball and 8ball. I have a $3000 Schon, only 3 ever made. Yes, Carlo did build the Patterson`s after Sentrys, and was the welder for Champions... Moby Dicks... actually worked there for a while. Best friends with the manager, Ben Troia.
Frank Post
Oh P.S. Ill probrably need the 7...for how much?!!! ha.ha.ha...I heard they closed The Great Entertainer, table 20, the tight one, always...
R. Serafin
Frank: They closed the Great Entertainer about 3 years ago. The place to go is Bay Billiards in Fremont. They have good tables with semonois 860 cloth with tight pockets. Not too much action though. You need to goto the gold room in SF for the big dollar games

I have an early schon, don't know how much it's worth,a custom indian Longoni cue from italy, predator.I now shoot with a Tim Scruggs, beautiful cue the best one so far.

Hey Carlo and Frank!
I am a nobody also, but as you can guess I am a big fan of both of yours work
Carlo, I have ridden your frames for years, from Panda to Boss, and I have to say they are to this day my faves.

Drew
Frank Post
oooh...a Scruggs!!!nice.
Frank Post
I usually play with a custom made to my specs stick, from Meullers. I used to make my own sticks but that Porper lathe is really more of a toy than a real lathe. My cues are called Karina cues. Always 60" long, and I like 21oz. stainless joint with white phenolic (black is so boring) and I prefer wood to wood joints.
Jack Weingart
Hi Frank,

Thanks for answering my question.

If possible could you have Carlo look at this Patterson frame. Serial # P0597, it has the brake bridge drilled like a Boss. I was surprised to see a small bottom bracket frame with a (P) in the serial number. Awesome welds! Any info would be great.

Thank you.

Jack

Frank Post
Carlo says its probrably a custom frame for a team rider. It is a custom frame based on an avalanche.
RandyS
Frank, If he's still there tell him I said hi. Last time I saw him I was in business with Gilbert so I was probably the enemy but I didn't have anything to do with their stuff. Then again I think we all have Panda stories that didn't go as planned.lol
Jack Weingart
Hi Frank,

Thanks again!

Does Carlo know about the vintage bmx get-together in Roseville? If not invite him! It would be RADICAL if you were both able to come.

Jack

Tell Carlo to bring the green van also.
Frank Post
That is my plan. He has some 86-89 Creation frames he`d like to sell. If you know anybody intrested this would surely seal the deal, as far as him coming down. They are brand new, and I think he only wants like $150, but trust me he`s negotionable. But $150 for one of his frames is a steal. Im gettin a 24 frame from him, for givin his son a pool stick. He says its unplated though.
Frank Post
Thumber I sent you a private message.
Frank Post
I mean Thumperpilot, sorry...
Thumperpilot
Back at you Frank!
