these finds belong to a friend of mine, but i thought i would share with all of you anyways....

a friend of mine went to look at a bike this other guy had to sell, (drove all the way cross town), turns out it was a supergoose. nice and all, but the guy decided he was gonna build it up and ride it, cause it was "cool" lol. my friend spies another f/f set sitting on the floor and asks "how much for that one?". he ends up making a deal and takes the f/f home. he calls and asks me about it, so i drive down and take a look. turns out to be a May 1980 schwinn sting! he is keeping it, lol. this was yesterday.
today:
we (same friend) go out and hit some junk stores today. we go into one and see a sign on the inside of the back door that reads MORE OUTSIDE, so outside we go. BIG pile of road bike stuff sitting in the rain gettin soaked. behind the pile i spot some chrome, so i dig it out. NO SERAIL NUMBER hutch lil hole shot frame, fork, alloy bar, and wheels!!!! now we are both tryin our best to hold out composure. but we end up takin it home. it is now his as well (deal worked out for both of us).

needless to say, this may be the best 2 days we have had in the last few years!!! no i wont tell how much these cost, but less than a hundred for both will let you all know how good the deals are. finds are out there, you just have to look, lol.

Cool score Kilo. I have an old man I met at the flea market on saturday that I scored a Hutch Freestyle stem and bars from digging in his shed for the rest of the bike. He also said he had a couple of other's I may want. Can't wait til next weekend.

Yeah , i think when you find that part where you wouldn't expect to find . I was in a similar situation when I saw an ad in the paper for a first generation powerlite cruiser , a buddy & I drove to the other side of town (Houston ) & the bike was in great shape & it had 2nd gen profile 185's . the guy wanted $200 but I talked him down to $150 . Unfortunatly when I built a Balance cruiser back in '95 I had those profiles on it & it was stolen out of my garage & the front wheel was off the bike as I trans. on a fork mount bike rack .
