I was at the gym on Sunday and on the screen I noticed a blond guy with a looptail bike upside down on a picnic table and he is changing the sproket. In walks Jean Hackman and he starts talking to the guy, in the background you can see the whole track, and some kids rideing by one had on an SE jersey definetly 80's movie on the movie channel, did anyone else catch this or know the movie

Hmmm , I don't remember him hanging out with kids in Superman & the Conversation (he has a great tool kit in that film) is too early to have a looptail @ a BMX track getting fixed....

Maybe it was a made for TV film ,I don't hear the clicking of a freewhell or clinking spanners in any of his movie credits listed here....a long shot guess might be , All Night Long (1981) but I've never seen it.
I'm pretty sure that Lex Luthor was not hanging out at BMX tracks in the Superman movies , I still chuckle about him wanting Australia in return for helping out the 3 evil super prisoners that escaped in one of those movies.....

I agree. Uncommon Valor 1983.
CowasockeeSteve
Hey JB...........are you ok dude?
CowasockeeSteve
I remember they had a big article all about the making of that scene in BMX Plus! or was it in BMX Action!?
Hackman was rounding up a team to rescue his P.O.W. son.
Mike Corvin
Yes you guys are talking about Uncommon Valor. One of Gene's bro's that he recruits to get his son from a Viet prison camp is a big blond-haired guy that is the bmx guru to the kids at the local track.
Great movie, one of Gene's best IMO.
JB, want to see a couple good Gene Hackman flicks? Rent The French Connection 1 and 2. 1 has one of the best car chases ever...
CowasockeeSteve
The put part of that car chase scene in a comercial recently. I was like 'wtf'?
