You all know this bike. My question is is it a hutch made one. Me and brian p were talking. and he was telling me he thinks it is.

It has no serial number, which led brian to that conclusion. I have been told they are rare. I want to satisfy my curiosity.

i have been told in the past that profiles were made by hutch. and thats the info i passed to ant. whether it IS true or not is a different story

Profile made HUTCHes for a stint .... HUTCH never made anything actually - they had most all they're work done out of house - Thruster/MCS/Profile all made Hutch at one point or another

you have a PROFILE MADE PROFILE
mr coasterbrake
yep, Profile made some of the earlier hutch stuff, as did speed unlimited/thruster and MCS. hutch did have stuff made "in-house" later on (the USA frames with serial numbers).

Yes, contrary to popular belief, Hutch manufactured a great deal of their products in-house under the direction of Product Manager Bill Grove who joined Hutch in late '81. Hutch also employed a large staff of welders that produced hundreds of frames/forks/handlebars/seat posts everyday. Most of the aluminum components were done in-house as well.

One of the outsourcing companies that you missed was VDC who made handlebars for Hutch in the early days too.
