I gave the 1983 GT Pro to my younger brother today. This was the first time he has seen the bike in person. He loved it! He kept saying "I can't believe it!". I was so happy to see him happy. He has a spot picked out in his newly-finished basement where he wants to display the bike. Even his wife was smiling.
It was in the teens with about a 40mph wind today, so we snapped these pics really quick. My brother Aaron and his new bike:

Just for kicks....here's a couple good pics of the finished bike.

These gift builds are fun! I think I'll build the next one as a gift to ME!

Did you shoot that in a cove? If so, I'm jealous. Our studio at work is way too small and no cove :-(

Waay cool gift , I could never keep a build a secret from my younger brother tho & am glad of it.We have yet to discuss the end makeup/components of the 82 Santa Ana 26 inch cruiser we should have together much later this year , need to find some 26 inch Bottema's for it , that shouldn't be too hard......
My brother & I will probably end up in a rumble around the garage , loungeroom or wherever , over handlebar position , seat post height & wether the streamers on the AME grips should stay or go & other important stuff like that , when we put our Skyway XL TA together...still waiting on a few special parts for it , won't be long tho.....
I should set up a video camera up out of the way & connect a 3hr VHS video recorder to it so I can lift some stills off the builds more active moments & keep a cheap digital stills camera handy for the more composed photo's that get taken during the build
