Crow, check your PM, I believe that is a set that I would be interested in.

If you can see the bottom of the V from the side view, then they are Schwinn bars. 1982.

I can't say I can fourth that one yet. I have posted a few WTBs, and those just might be the ones.

See how yours compare to the pic I posted from the side view.

From the pic of the front view, it sure looks like the v-bar sticks out in the front....

I have that same decal on a set of unmolested king sting bars.

Thanks for the info guys. They are currently at a shop that is out of state. I met the guy on a business trip down south and he is slowly cleaning out a old bike shop that he recently bought. As he finds stuff he sends a email of what he finds. He doesn't won't to sell anything till he gets it all sorted out. So far I know he has tons of Cal-Lite and Norco pads, Various brand red and blue BMX tires(no Tiogas though), Some Z-rim hoops, Some Dia-Compe brakes(no 1000's yet), many other things. I'll keep you posted as I get more info.

Those came on Schwinn Sting bars as well, on the center of the crossbar. I sold a set to a member here. I wouldn't be surprised if those were Schwinn bars.

I agree with Ted and the pic he posted,1982 Sting. My 79 Sting bars seem to have the same exact knurling pattern from what I can see in the pic and the same decal on the middle of the straight crossbar fron the factory.
