kcmobmx
a lake jumper for sure!
just kidding!
awesome piece of redline history
BEN
That is a super nice Redline, that looks like a
79 frame though!
eric hestermann
ricflair, very nice, ben i just picked up the same frame and fork trying to fig the year what makes you say its a 79, any help would be appreciated
Yasser
Mr Haney has the best stuff and thats one example. Brilliant build on your part.
BEN
That one has the collars welded on the headtube
not machined and the gusset is smaller. It went
to a machined headtube and bigger gusset in 80.

How come it has MX2 fork drop outs? 5" HT so it has to be for a Proline, but all I ever saw had the cut out drop outs.
Walter Holda
Hubba Hubba!
Rod Miles
Hey Ben,
I have seen a few pair of those also,
Maybe they were made to sell as after market forks for stings, procrafts and other 5" head tube frames.

Bill "Billn" Nichols also has one of those on his red proline.

Rod
Randy
I have the same f/f set, with solid drop outs, in chrome.

Someone posted the redline s/n code, mines a '79.
JOHN F
YEP LOOKS LIKE 79 JUST LIKE IN THE BOOK BUT THAT BIKE LOOKS KILLER IN CANDY APPLE .
QuicksilverBMX
Very nice! It will be in my dreams tonight

( I have been looking for a Proline to rebuild for 12 months now )
COASTY
Beautiful bike man. Love the colors. Great!
NSR Jamie
Hey, I'm smiling too. What a nice bike, congrats !!!!
BEN
My 79 looks just like that but my forks have the
cutout. The way I understand it is that Redline
went to the proline II frame style in 80 and came
out with the tapered fork in 81! Also my earlier
reply was only about the frame not the fork.

That bikes been around for a long time, check out the museum (it has graphites on it) I should know I built it up about 5-6 years ago. It was an NOS frame when I built it and still is a kick*** bike that I should have never sold oh well Dave..
Rod Miles
Wow Dave, thats killer!
Now I wonder what ever happened to those wheels.......hmmmmmmmmm.....

Long Lost Graphites

Thats where they went! I knew the Haneys wouldnt let them go far. You have a nice set there, very low serial # on the front right ? Fortunately I was able to find an as nice set to replace them with, a very low # as well 000011 on the front Dave...

RicFlair,

Nice rig. Good to see another red one - most of them I see are white. The frame/fork I have are the same as yours - welded head tube collars, and solid fork dropouts. Here's a pic of the bike that Rod referred to. Of course he knew about my bike - he fixed the frame dropouts!

Randy
Have I ever told you that bike rocks?
BenOr
I love that bike. Except for chome rat traps, that was my bike in 1980. Double take every time.
bmxmom
for some reason when i read what randy wrote i pictured him doing the "you complete me" thing...

beautiful bike btw
