Speedrcr
So I'm at the hospital and my wife is having our 3rd child (6 pds 15 oz. girl name Katelyn ). I'm sitting in a chair and looking at one of the stands that holds her I.V. I start wondering how hard it would be to polish out the scratches in the chrome on the stand.
Man, I've got to get some help...

Baby and Mother are both doing great.
TONE

Congrats! Now put the stand on E-Bay!
Roll'n Thunder
Congrats.

When my wife was having our first child, I was getting scrubs on to go into the L&D room and noticed this HUGE Craftsman toolbox.
A guy in scrubs comes in and opens the box and I say to him that I need a box that big at the bikeshop.
We get to talking and he's really into mt. biking and he'd like to get together for a ride sometime.

Anyway - turns out he's our anesthesiologist, and he's talking about cool bikes and epic rides the whole delivery. (the wife's not happy about this AT ALL)

So we're all done, and he's got to go do another delivery so I say to him:
"Need any help? - I've got my tools in the car"

HUGE laughter by everyone in the L&D room.

Then I say:
"I've got my metric stuff in case we get any European or Asian women go into labor"

We were all laughing so hard I realize I haven't checked on my wife or the baby in like a half hour.

I hope that story is funny, and not one of those "had to be there" deals.

Roll'n, that last comment was hysterical! Being both a tool guy & a dad I totally got it!
