Geez they look like they've had a hard life. Be interesting to see how they go without a disk.

Actually, that one set has the correct spider, that's how they came optional on some Pro Raiders

Maybe the guy's gonna get 'em chromed and try to hit another cool 3g.

The funny thing about his auction for the profile cranks..... Those are Muxter's cranks and those are Muxter's pictures form Muxter's auction from when he was selling parts off his black 26" torker!

Go figure........

For such a "rare" crank, there sure seems to be alot on ebay lately.
Keep_It_Warm
I'm totally burned-out on the Aerospeed fascination.

I've been watching them come and go ever since I had found that one set. I've seen a few get circulated around, as in bought and resold pretty quickly.

Click the shipping calculator for further laughs! 54. bucks for me the chap way or 99. for the "premium".

Give me a set of Redline's over those crappy things. Do people realize they are so rare because they sucked. Anyone who actually rode hard broke them.
scottTowne
jjcmack pegged it. that's what kills me about these too. they all broke. they stopped producing them because they were junk. of course, I wanted a set really badly back when too, but....

Wow,
I'm at a loss.
Why, I ask, are those so expensive..
I raced BITD... Redline flights were new when I was about finished with BMX and on to MX...
I could machine out a set in Titanium for less than 3 large!

I know the guy that had those up for 3g's and let me tell you they where worth every penny. He ended the auction early because sombody offered him 3500.00 for the complete set and they agreed on $3700.00. I feel the same way as the rest of you, thats way to much money for a crank set. but if people want them that bad. the sks the limit.
I asked him what was up with that profile crank as, I had seen it on the bay the week befor? his reply was that the bike he planded on using ended up having a crack in it and he couldn't get better pictures then the ones from the last auction.

?!.....No, IMHO, they aren't, even in 100% perfect,NOS, better than new, untouched, still in box(aka. I only took 'em out for the photo) or any other possible condition description you can come up with. They were very nice looking and I suppose most restore's are showroom pieces and never get ridden so they will never break.
I had a set BITD and cracked the spindle.

I then got a set of 401's.

Funny how the BMX guys hate the cranks since they broke all the time racing, but the vintage freestyle pro's all used them in 1984. I asked a few of the pro's about the cranks and replied they never had a problem with them, ever.

The one thing I hate the most is restoring the bikes/replicating those of the old pros.....quite a few builds with these cranks LOL, time to head back to the extra-tubed race frame board.
CowasockeeSteve
I never raced and I broke mine. I bet lots of them broke but they don't remember having probs 'cause the parts were free and someone else did the work.
TONE
i raced and had some........i never broke mine. of course i was smooooooooooooooooth. LOL
